■ The Faculty of Community Development at University of El
Imam El Mahdi observes this issue while developing its plans,
programs and activities
Introduction:■ Some of the ethnic groups of these areas have nevertheless been
isolated, scattered and closed on their own.
■ This self introversion is caused by many reasons; the most important
one is the weakness in education and the awareness on its importance
which led to the existence of inherited misconceptions from one
generation to another.
■ we have insured the necessity to organize a program named "Education
First". to promote the importance of education.
Targeted Community Groups:
■ The programs and activities of the project (Education First)
are dedicated to all members of the community, taking into
account social and cultural differences.
Program Activities■ Identify the urgent needs of the local community.

mayors and community leaders.
■ Holding lectures with citizens in order to create consultation
on the issue of education.

Project Summary
■ Alkunooz Village, Localitly of Algutaina
- a population of (20,000) inhabitants.
- The Hausa tribe by its own represents (80%) of the total
population
- - is known for its strict adherence to customs, traditions and
social norms, which made it a closed society that is difficult to
integrate with other tribes.
Project Summary
■ The center for Community Development in Alkunooz village
has faced this issue by announcing the faculty programs
where only one student from the Hausa Tribe has joined
which was frustrating.
■ Considering that this very massive entity is in dire need of this
program, the center began to conduct visits to families which
led to an increase in the number of enrolled female students
Project Summary
■ This massive impact is a result of the courses and programs
organized by the Faculty of Community Development which
created an exemplar shift that raised the level of awareness
and abandonment of all that is related to these
misconceptions that made it a weak society.
■ This positive change confirms the effectiveness of the
programs and courses of the Faculty of Community
Development in achieving the desired objectives.
