Nature-Based Therapeutics (NBT) graduate courses at the University of Minnesota starting summer 2013 through the spring semester 2014. Two new offerings - "Journey into Nature, Journey into Self" and "Horse as Teacher".TRANSCRIPT
NATURE-BASED THERAPEUTICS are measurable restorative effects found in the natural environment through interactions with plants, animals and natural landscapes. These fields of practice are based on the theory of biophilia put forth by Pulitzer Prize-winning biologist Edward O. Wilson.

ANIMALS IN HEALTHCARE: THE HEALING DIMENSIONS OF HUMAN/ANIMAL

This course is designed to prepare students who have the knowledge and skills to develop comprehensive program plans in therapeutic horticulture for clients with developmental disabilities.
