Conference InformationVenue: Redwood Building, King Edward VII Avenue, Cardiff, and Aberdare Hall, Corbett Road, Cardiff. Cardiff is well situated with excellent rail, road and air links to all parts of the UK. The Redwood Building is opposite Aberdare Hall across the road.

Conference fees: The full conference fee (£250) includes all meals, light refreshments, the conference dinner and a wine reception. To obtain the student registration rate (£200), student registration forms must be signed by their supervisor. There is no VAT on conference fees. NB: No payments can be refunded for cancellations received after 5th April 2011.

Accommodation: Attendees are free to make individual arrangements with hotels and other accomodationavailable in Cardiff. SIOE will reserve a block of rooms at the Big Sleep Hotel which is situated in the City centre and is approximately a twenty to twenty five minute walk to and from the venue. The cost of a double en-suite room will be approximately £60 per night and includes a continental breakfast. Twin rooms will also be available for those wishing to share and the cost will be approximately £60 per room, per night including a continental breakfast.

In order for a reservation to be made on your behalf, you must supply us with a credit card number. Eachdelegate will be responsible for settling their hotel bill directly with the hotel when checking out.

Important: We must receive your room reservation before 28 February 2011 or a room cannot be guaranteed.

Conference Dinner: A special conference dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday 19 April 2011.

Parking: There is, limited, on-street parking available outside the Redwood Building and you will have to purchase special parking vouchers. Delegates who are staying in a local hotel may leave their car in the hotel car park. A map containing the location of venue will be sent with joining instructions to all those who register.

Working Language: The working language of the conference will be English which will be used for all printed material, presentations and discussions.

SIOE will also accept payment by cheque sent with the registration form or by cash or traveller's cheque at the conference registration desk, which will be situated in the Aberdare Hall. Cheques should be made payable to Bangor University and marked "for SIOE". Payments from overseas should be made free of all bank charges and commissions, either by cheque in £ Sterling drawn on a UK bank, or by cash or travellers cheques in pounds sterling, at the time of registration.
