Using Twitter in this course has been a usefullearning tool. Fully agree39.2% Agree42.1%% Disagree 13.3% Agree+ Fully disagree 4.9%DisagreeI intend to continue using Twitter after thiscourse. Students tweet: ish guys dnt mind my weird tweetssumtyms, its my assignments... thanks 2 #uj It is simply easy and great, doing academic assignmentwith phone 220km away from Johannesburg. At first I could not see the importance of using twitterfor academic reasons but now I think its is so cool. Development Studies is taking education to a newlevel This is an interesting and fun way to doschoolwork. Twitter has taught me how to find useful organisationsand learnt that twitter is just not about having fun butalso sharing informative ideas. The discussions we have on twitter are very helpful andI think we getting marked to do what we luv doing, andthat is being on social networks...whoever came up withthis idea, thank you, all the other students are jealousthat we have this opportunity. 67. I liked the use of twitter(socialisation withfellow students in the same module).Weactually learned a lot from one another. I have learnt how to be concise with what Iwrite. Twitter can be very confusing when you stillnew but as time goes by you can get usedto it and it can be very interesting. The use of twitter was very interesting. Ienjoyed the fact that learning did not onlytake place in the lecture rooms but even onsocial networks which you could take part induring your spare time. #ILoveIt 68. Source: Wheeler 2011 69. Twitter is not as interesting as Facebook, but its been helpful academically. It is not clear and popular enough.Perhaps facebook can be used studentsdont go passed a day without it; it couldstimulate more interaction. Its too complicated. 140 characters is not enough to expressmy opinion; its frustrating. I dont understand twitter at all. 70. Broadercommentsoncourse Continue to find new ways of making thecourse and module interesting. The web pagewas something totally different. [I have learnt] doing group work withoutmeeting any of the group members yougotta love technology! Despite endless assignments the course isjust so awesome and making you to eager tolearn more. A nearly unbelievable request: Give us moreassignments. I definitely enjoy Friday classes; its worthwaking up at 4:30am :) 71. 98% of students agree that they have learnt A LOT in this module It has opened my eyes for gender stereotypesand changed my perspective in terms ofgender This course help us to think critically beforewe talk and it build our standing point as theyouth of South Africa Another thing, I loved is that I left each classhaving more questions than I did before, questions I may not get easy answers to It opens our eyes to new experiences, to anew way of thinking. It makes us think of thegrey areas in life and reminded me that noteverything is as it seem. 72. Do more assignments in hard copy. Old school teaching please!Carina rocks, l wish she would take me through and through, but esh online and wetpaint really sucks. Some of us hate spending more timein front of computers. 73. http://allfunny.net/pics/crazykids/crazy-kids-8.jpg 74.
