It may be a typical Sophie Hunger moment when she commits to an acoustic festival in the midst of the tour for her first elec-tronically produced album, Molecules. This gig is full of surprises. Es ist ein sehr persönliches Album, komponiert, produziert und arrangiert von einem aussergewöhnlichen Musiker, dem der Hype um seine Person immer fremd geblieben ist.

The British singer-songwriter Tom Odell sets the course again at the Matterhorn. The occasion for his return to Zermatt Unplugged is his latest work Jubilee Road. From Silence heisst das Programm in der Kapelle Win-kelmatten, in der Bruno Bieri & Lionius Treikauskas mit Stimme, Cello, Handpan und Alphorn die Stille hörbar machen. Ihre Eigenkompositionen erzählen Geschichten zwischen Bergspitze und Tal. Die Musiker spielen Lieder mit und ohne Worte, inspiriert von Wind und Wetter im Sound der Alpen. In Kombination mit einem stimmungs-vollen Apéro am Feuer, abgerundet von kulinarischen Genüssen, steckt in diesem Konzerterlebnis ein Zauber, der seinesgleichen sucht.

From Silence is the program in the Winkelmatten chapel in which Bruno Bieri & Lionius Treikauskas make the silence audible with their voice, cello, handpan, and alphorn. Their own compositions tell stories between mountain peaks and valleys. The musicians play songs with and without words, inspired by wind and weather from the sound of the Alps. In tune with an atmospheric aperitif by the fire, rounded off with culinary delights, the magical experience of this concert is second to none.

Bereits zum fünften Mal sind Ronnie Scott’s All Stars zu Gast am Matterhorn und begeistern uns mit ihrem erst-klassigen Jazz. Seit 1959 prägt Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London die Jazz-Welt. 2019 feiert man im Mont Cervin Palace 60 Jahre Club-Geschichte im Soho-Stil: Zu einem erlesenen 3-Gang-Dinner spielt in gediegener Atmo-sphäre die berühmteste Hausband der Welt packende Jazz-Sessions und bittet illustre Gäste auf die Bühne: Soulkönigin Gabrielle, Luca Hänni in Experimentierlaune, den Akkordeon-Avantgardisten Mario Batkovic und den Rock-Musiker Tony Carey.

For the fifth time, Ronnie Scott’s All Stars are guests at the Matterhorn and delight us with their first-class jazz. Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London has been shaping the jazz world since 1959. In 2019, 60 years of club history will be celebrated at Mont Cervin Palace in Soho-style. The world’s most famous house band will play thrilling jazz sessions over an exquisite three-course dinner in refined atmosphere, inviting illustrious guests to the stage: soul queen Gabrielle, Luca Hänni in an ex-perimental mood, the avant-garde accordionist Mario Batkovic, and the rock musician Tony Carey.

Das Zermatt-Unplugged-Abenteuer führt von einem beschaulichen Dorfkern auf 1620 m hinauf zu einer Gebirgskette und Bühnenpanorama – mit bestem Blick aufs Matterhorn, die Gletscher-welt und Gipfelparade der Walliser Alpen. Wie viele Höhenmeter man zurücklegen mag, ob zu Fuss, mit der Bergbahn, auf Ski oder Snowboard sei jedem selbst überlassen.

PLEASUREIn Zermatt vereinen 17 Restaurants 242 Gault-Millau- Punkte und fünf Michelin-Sterne. Sie setzen Massstäbe für 200 Restaurants im Dorf und für die Gastronomie der ganzen Schweiz. Nirgendwo sonst trifft man auf eine solch hohe Konzentration an Spitzenköchen. Das inspi-riert auch das Zermatt Unplugged.

Während des Festivals feiern wir ein Fest der kulinari-schen Vielfalt. Das Taste Village zeigt, was gutes Essen ausmacht. Es steht direkt vor dem Hauptzelt und bietet nicht nur Klassiker wie Fondue und Raclette. Neben herz-haften Roastbeef Sandwiches oder dem eigens kreierten Zermatt-Unplugged-Burger ziehen regionale Spezialitä-ten die Geniesser an. Auch das Foyerzelt wird zur Bühne für gastronomisches Schaffen und präsentiert eine viel-seitige Palette des kulinarischen Genusses. Mit dem Fokus auf die Themen Schweiz, Innovation, Nachwuchs und Nachhaltigkeit beleuchtet das Festival die traditionelle Küche und fördert zukunftsweisende Kreationen.

In Zermatt, 17 restaurants combine 242 Gault Millau points and five Michelin stars. They set standards for 200 restaurants in the village and for the gastronomy of all of Switzerland. No-where else can you find such a high concentration of top chefs. This also inspires Zermatt Unplugged.

During the festival, we celebrate the culinary diversity. The Taste Village shows what makes for good food. It stands in front of the Marquee Stage and offers more than just classics like fondue and raclette. In addition to hearty roast beef sand-wiches or the specially created Zermatt Unplugged burger, regional specialties attract connoisseurs. The Foyer Marquee is also the stage for gastronomic creativity and presents a versatile palette of culinary delights.With its focus on Switzerland, innovation, young talent, and sustainability, the festival sheds light on traditional cuisine and promotes modern creations.
