incinerators Only 12.5 percent of e-waste is currently recycled Americans dump phones containing over $60 million in gold/silver
every year. Recycling 1 million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the
electricity used by 3,657 U.S. homes in a year.

Social: My family is my inspiration. They encourage me to do whatever it is I want to do. They believe in me. My friends are what keep me going.
Work: I hope to get a job designing orthotics and prosthetics and to think of new, innovative ways to improve them.

Lack of Natural Resources
•People are only concerned with what happens in the present •We are not looking at the bigger picture •Demand continues to rise year after year, but the supply is
constrained •Water is declining in availability, especially in places in India and
African nations •Due to continued growth of the global population and economy, the
demand for natural resources provided by Planet Earth is rapidly increasing
Lack of Natural Resources Continued
They are being exploited without any bounds Extraction process itself is damaging, but the transportation of these
resources is just as harmful Long distance transportation Processing

environment when they soak into the soil or find their ways to our sources of water
