Since 1993

The Institute of Management, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur was established in the year 1993 after duly recognition from UGC and AICTE with the objective to provide professional education , training and research in the field of management. Initially the AICTE has sanctioned 40 seats for post graduate degree in business management. Later on due to high demand of this region the intake was increased from 40 to 60 seats for the same. the institute offers specialization in four functional areas namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and System Management. The institute has its own building and infra structural facilities for the students. Around twenty two batches have passed out from the institute and majority of its alumnus are placed in reputed public and private sector organizations particularly Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Nestle India Ltd., Infosys System Pvt. Ltd., HDFC Bank, GAIL and TATA Moters Ltd., etc. For the development of the students dedicated full-time faculties are working in the institute apart from these seniors officers of the government, industry and senior faculty members of renound academic institute are the also invited in the institute from time to time. Till now the institute ha organized six national seminars on different areas of business and management to place the institute at national level. The institute is also actively involves in research and till now sixteen research scholars have been awarded PhD. degree in the field of management. These researches also occupy prominent position in the academics and administration. Time to time the institute also organizes short term workshops for the development pf the students in collaboration of other departments and associations.

VISION “To be one of the top business schools in the country providing cost effective, quality education to aspiring youths and training ,research and consultancy services to the organisations facing the challenges of global competition.”

OBJECTIVES 1. To prepare young budding managers for the 21st century with a realistic attitude who can compete with the product of any business schools anywhere in the world.2. To create entrepreneurial awareness, develop managerial talent and foster entrepreneurial ability not only among students of this institute but also among the student community of the region through various academic activities, programmes and extension services.3. To provide short-term exposure and expertise to practicing managers both in service and industrial sector through short-term Management Development Programmes (MDPs), EDPs, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences etc from time to time to acquaints them with newly develop knowledge and skills.4. To bridge the gap that exists between “word of Work” and “World of Knowledge”, through constant and continuous field visits, participation and interaction with the practicing managers of the industrial organizations/business houses in the region and the country as well.5. To provide consultancy services to the needy and stick industrial / business units of the region on various managerial problems which hinder their efficiency and effectiveness.
