VIRULICIDE ACTIVITY OF BX 24 PRODUCT AGAINST
H5N1 HPAI AVIAN INFLUENCE VIRUS
ISOLATED IN VIETNAM
TESTED BY
Laboratory of Virology, National ReferenceCentre and Reference Laboratory OIE/FAO
The Zooprofilattico Institute of Venezie, branch of the National Reference Centre
for avian influence and Newcastle disease, certified the virulicide activity of the
BX 24 used diluited ≥ 5%, against avian influence virus, type A, high
pathogenicity subtype (HPAI).
The test included:
1. Toxicity trial of BX 24 disinfectant on chicken embryos
2. Evaluation of disinfectant efficacy at the fixed 5% dilution

Results:
1. ATOXICITY: no toxic effects were found on the virus-infected eggs and on the
chicken embryos, remained alive throughout all of the 10 days of the
observation period.
2. EFFICACY: THE VIRUS WAS DEACTIVATED WITH BX 24.
Conclusions:
BX24 shows virulicide power against the H5N1 avian
influence virus.
The product also obtained a technical approval of
compliance by the National Institute for the
Prevencion and Occupational Safety (I.S.P.E.S.L.),
tit. IX and X of Lgs. Decr. 81/2008.

BX 24 can be designed for use locations and vehicles; it can
also be used for the decontamination of operators protected by
IPE, also preventive disposition, as appropriate measure of
individual and collective protection with regard to biological
risk.
BX 24 is registered in the National Institute of
Health with code AUT-2
