ANNOUNCEMENTS Jeff Davis CALL TO WORSHIP Don Brice ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING Chartier Family
∆ OPENING HYMN Once in Royal David’s City #286
RECONNECTING TO GOD John Milone Jesus, we gather as your people in this house of the Spirit thanking
You for the sweet gift of life You provide. We frolic in Your
grace and in our salvation, but over the course of time, we have
taken it for granted. We have exchanged costly, demanding grace
for cheap grace; we want all the spiritual benefits given to us
without having to discipline ourselves. We have neglected the
inner path of prayerful listening and prefer the noise of our culture
instead. In Your mercy, forgive us, dear Christ. Spirit, baptize us
with Your love and mercy; turn our hardened hearts into warm
hearts of joy and gratitude. We pray this in Jesus’ precious
Name. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE _________________Luke Thompson Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

It’s Secret Santa time again. This is the time of year that
we sponsor children & families of the less fortunate in our
community and provide gifts and food. We have six fami-
lies this year with a total of 25 children. Please see the
Armstrongs or the Longs before or after Sunday service to
pick the child you would like to sponsor. If you do not
want to go shopping, you can always contribute a monetary
donation that will go toward the purchase of food for the
families. Your participation & generosity are appreciated.
Help Families in Need this Christmas
Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. And also PARTIES! The
student ministries will be partying before school is let out for the
holidays. Our college students will have a party during Catalyst on
Wednesday, December 7th, from 8:00-9:30pm in the Lifeline
room. High school students will have two chances to party for
Christmas. On December 14th we will have a Christmas party at
Anchor House and then again December 21st from 6:30-
8:00pm. Elementary students will have their Christmas party
during Pathfinders on Wednesday, December 21st. Mark your
calendar and get ready to check your blood sugar because we are
putting it to the test this Christmas season!
