Operation Beautification: This project is a combined effort between the FACS, Science, and Special Education departments. The ultimate goal is a visually pleasing space with raised planting beds and giving students the opportunity to learn about “Farm to Table”. The crops are planted, maintained, harvested, and prepared by students with the guidance of faculty, staff and other volunteers. Science classes are using for measurement growth, experiments, and observation. The FACS students are using the produce to prepare class projects and in tasting labs.

This effort is being supported by the collection of “Labels for Education” and “Greer’s Apples for Students”. Teachers are also looking for grant money. Any donations would be appreciated. Checks can be made out to Davidson High School with SADD in

the memo.

Congratulations to the boys’ swim team for winning Wednesday’s meet at UMS. It was a complete team effort with 8 different swimmers placing in the top three of their events. Event winners include Jacob Jones in the 100 and 200 yard freestyles, Calvin Bylinowski in 100 yard butterfly, and the relay team of Jones, Dustin Reeves, Noah Latiolais, and Jackson Craft in the 200 and 400 yard fresstyle relays. The girls’ team finished second with Noora Siltari capturing first place finishes in the 60 and 100 yard freestyle. Great Job Warriors!
