All applicants and participants are required to adhereto the latest versions of the following documents:
1. AISC Certification Program for Steel BridgeFabricators Standard for Steel Bridges;
AASHTO Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures, Portland, OR June 20, 2013
2. AISC Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildingsand Bridges;
3. AASHTO/NSBA Steel Bridge Fabrication QC/QAGuide Specifications.
Previous Simple and Major Bridge Checklists will notbe used to evaluate participants and applicants.
Simple Bridge
Unspliced rolled sections

Major Bridge / Intermediate Bridges
(1) a rolled beam bridge with field or shop splices,either straight or with a radius over 500 ft;
(2) a built-up I-shaped plate girder bridge withconstant web depth (except for dapped ends), with orwithout splices, either straight or with a radius over500 ft;

500 ft;
(3) a built-up I-shaped plate girder with variable webdepth (e.g., haunched), either straight or with a radiusover 1000 ft;
(4) a truss with a length of 200 ft or less that is entirelyor substantially pre-assembled at the certified facilityand shipped in no more than three subassemblies.
Major Bridge / Advanced Bridges
(1) tub or trapezoidal box girders, closed box girders,large or
(2) non-preassembled trusses, arches, basculebridges, cable supported bridges, moveable bridges,and

and
(3) bridges with particularly tight curve radius
Major Bridge / Advanced Bridges
Fabricator SHALL have:
Supplied advanced bridges for highway or railroadapplications within the last five years,
or
AASHTO Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures, Portland, OR June 20, 2013
or
Supplied intermediate bridges for highway or railroaduse, established a documented training program forthe purpose of communicating advanced bridge workfunctions to the work forces, and demonstratedcapability to fabricate advanced bridges.
