How to Tell if a Vehicle Has the New Software Check the opening Voice Portal screen that appears when the talk button is pressed. When the talk button is pressed, available voice command categories are displayed on the screen.

Updated Voice Recognition SystemBeginning with some Acura models delivered in Fall 2015, new voice recognition system software is designed to provide enhanced system speed and voice recognition accuracy.

With a shortened list of available commands and a new 6-category voice recognition portal, the update provides easy access to the most commonly used commands, while improving voice recognition accuracy.

It’s important to note that existing clients who purchase a new Acura with the update will have a reduced number of available voice commands and it’s possible that some commands they have used in the past will not be available in their Acura.

Commands shown in white in the following chart are available with the updated voice recognition system software. The previous software generation offered the commands shown in white, along with the additional commands in blue.

Voice Commands

Voice Portal Screen

When the (Talk) button is pressed, available voice commands appear on the screen.

For a complete list of commands, say “Voice Help” after the beep or select Voice Help.

You can see the list of commands in Voice Info on the Info menu screen. Select Info, then select .

Phone CallThis can only be used when the phone is connected. When the system recognizes the “Phone Call” command, the screen will change the dedicated screen for the voice recognition of the phone.
