Major Issue Requiring Attention
Pacific Area has over 10,000 routes that do not have lunch time assigned in MSP
This has an impact on every MSP scan after the lunch time is taken● Lunch times must be input to ensure valid MSP
data● Without correct data, MSP data cannot be used to
address street issues accurately Effort required at every identified delivery unit to
correct this problem ASAP. Following slides show the process for updating
lunch times and pivot plans

Creating a new pivot plan re-calculates the sector segment times.
New sector segment times are used to calculate MSP street scan times
Create logical groups that are LOGICAL Always insert lunch break
● Must be at end of logical group where carrier is authorized to leave route for lunch

After creating the logical groups you can assign lunch locations and assign breaks.
The logical groups should be created so the lunch location is
at the end of a logical group.

LUNCH BEFORE 1ST DELIVERY
Upon opening the pivot plan, 1. Select the first sector segment and make it a
logical group by itself. 2. Group the remaining sectors according to the
desired logical groups on the 1564A. 3. Insert the lunch break on the second logical
group after the first delivery (which should now be the first logical group). This will expand the scheduled interval of the travel time to route by the duration of this one delivery. (The first delivery cannot have an MSP Point)
