I’m looking forward to working with the athletic department, coaches, student-athletes, families, and community members to continue the success at CGHS.”

“Katie’s background in both collegiate and high school athletic administration, along with her time as a collegiate athlete and high school head coach, made her the perfect candidate to take our Athletic Department to the next level,” said Knapp. “Katie has the drive, creativity, and work ethic to help elevate our student-athletes, our coaches, and the entire Center Grove athletic community. I look forward to working with Katie and collaborating on new ideas that will ensure Center Grove continues to be the standard of excellence in athletics throughout the state of Indiana.” “Katie has a great understanding of education-based athletics,” said Jeff Henderson, Ed.D., CGHS principal. “As a three-sport athlete in high school, and a two-sport athlete in college, she understands the demands a competitive

CGHS CHOIRS END THEIR SEASONS AS GRAND CHAMPIONS

March 6-7 was a third and final weekend of competitions for Center Grove Choirs this year. In comparison, CGHS Choirs normally compete in 6-7 competitions per year but the pandemic did change that possibility this year. What is remarkable about this year is that The Center Grove Sound System had a year comparable to a Triple Crown. They won Grand Champion at all three Competitions. This choir also won Best Visual/Choreography and Best Vocals at all three shows. There are no other schools in Johnson County that has taken Grand Champion at any competition this year and no other choirs in Indianapolis that have achieved this amazing achievement.
