The Mechanical Engineering Department of School of Engineering, UPES, organised the inaugural Nitro RC Championship. The event featured a designing and performance competition for 1/8 scale RC Nitro Cars. Team Ryuu from UPES bagged the first runner-up award.

Anand Kumar, famous for his Super 30 School conducted an insightful session in Kota about decoding mantras for success in engineering. During his lecture, he emphasised the role of practical application of knowledge to real life situation in enabling innovations.

Department of Mechanical Engineering showcased several engineering marvels created by the students at the Auto Expo – 2020, Noida. The inventions that were displayed included a Campus Utility Vehicle, design of an Electric Cycle, a microwave-assisted Composite Regeneration System for DPF.
