Collaboration with World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA)The entrance of UPO “Stop hepatitis” in WHA will be considered on international convention in June of 2010.

Collaboration with European Liver Patients Association (ELPA)The entrance of UPO “Stop hepatitis” in ELPA will be considered on international convention in April of 2010.

Full realization of the rights and legal interests of patients with HV;

Improvement the quality of life of people with HV; Making hepatitis the key priority of the healthcare policy of

Ukraine; Getting citizens to participate in public life in Ukraine.

Assisting with implementation of state programs aimed at preventing hepatitis◦The law department of Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine considers

Memorandum (agreement) between Ministry of Healthcare and UPO “Stop hepatitis” in relation to combining effort on development and realization Government Program;

◦We entered and became members of the “work group”, which got organized in the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, that will be helping to solve the problem of HV in Ukraine;

◦We had meetings with the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the Committee of Supply, on which we presented the suggestion paper about selection money on treatment for patients with hepatitis. Our suggestion will be plugged in consideration for acceptance the budget of Ukraine 2010.

◦Negotiations are conducted with social partners

◦ Bringing in people to UPO: patients with HV, people that interested in helping to raise awareness about HV;

◦ Providing service of patients with hepatitis B and C;◦ Providing of psychological support of patients; ◦ Informing patients about viral hepatitis's;◦ Leadthrough such projects like- schools for the patients; ◦ Giving recommendations for patients about laboratories and

clinics for the best diagnostics and treatment of hepatitis;◦ Lobbying interests of patient (in regional's too).

19.05.2009 – World Hepatitis DayIdea: Every 12th in the world infected by viral hepatitis B or C. Nevertheless, the majority of infected even don’t know about it. Purpose: to support the World Hepatitis Day, to pay attention on this problem in Ukraine.Realization: 19th of May on one of the central areas in Kiev volunteers gave away 10 000 of leaflets with information about HV.

24.08.09 - “Independence Day of Ukraine” – jointly with union of public organizations we conducted a Ukrainian action “Health of nation”. Distribution of leaflets was made with information about: ∘ healthy way of life; ∘ about venereal diseases; ∘ importance of donor; ∘ preventive of hepatitis.

All over Ukraine our representatives gave away about40 thousand leaflets.

Participation on Ukrainian conference about the problems of hepatitis in Ukraine;

Our chairwomen Gavrilova Olga made a report about presentation of our activity and future plans.

Participation on International HCV Seminar: problems and prevalence, that was in Kyiv 01.10.09

On this seminar we met Nadine Piorkowsky, the President of The European Liver Patients Association, and Charles Gore.

Participation in business training “Civil Society and bases of fundraising”;

Participation in web-symposium that was organized by London medical school and company Viraled.
