Distances are round-trip. l Easy, n Moderate June 6th, 12:30 - 2 pm & 2:30 - 4 pm Enjoy this beautiful place while learning about the history of the site, the Mashel River and stewardship of this important habitat. Two walks offered. < 1 mile on uneven ground, some elevation change. n June 20th, 10 am - 2 pm is is a unique opportunity to experience one of the most dynamic stretches of the Nisqually River. Join us for a walk through reforested pastures to one of our favorite bends in the river – a perfect spot to watch birds, listen to the water flow and see restoration in action. < 1.5 miles on undeveloped path. n June 27th, 12:30 - 2 pm Explore this important salmon-producing tributary of the Nisqually Delta, where you’ll be able to see the restoration efforts of Land Trust partners and volunteers. Recently transferred, this property is now a part of the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. < 1 mile on undeveloped path. l n July 19th, 12:30 - 2 pm & 2:30 - 4 pm Repeat of June event. Two walks offered. < 1 mile on uneven ground, some elevation change. n August 8th, 12:30 - 2:30 pm Join us as we explore the newly opened Bud Blanchard Trail along the Mashel River, the largest tributary to the Nisqually River. < 6 miles on maintained trail. l August 22nd, 10 am - 1 pm Trek through young forests to a viewpoint overlooking the Upper Nisqually River Valley and old growth forest below. See first-hand why protection of this land is critical to ensure wildlife and habitat resiliency. 3 miles. n September 12th, 10 am – 12:30 pm Experience the largest salmon-recovery project underway in the Nisqually Watershed.
