Proposals from the residents of Bleinhem –

Wellington and Lancaster Rd

Close Wellington Road where it meets Longmore Avenue.

Keep Wellington Road open where it joins the Main Road (as a consequence the link from the new site will not be required).

Longmore – Wellington Rd Proposal

Close Wellington Road where it meets Longmore Avenue.

Keep the existing access open to the Main Road open

Why: Reduce traffic down Wellington Road. Longmore was the original link between the Officers Mess and what is

to become the new estate. Consequently it should be reactivated and close Wellington Road

where it joins what was Longmore Ave. Wellington Road then becomes a Cul-de-Sac.

New roundabout is equally as close to this access – no argument to close Wellington.
