CAREGIVERS

JONATHAN RIDDELL, MD Dr. Riddell received his MD degree in Canada from University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine in 1994. He continued at Western to complete his residency in urology, becoming a Fellow of the

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Through a fellowship at the University of Montreal and CHU-Sainte-Justine, Dr. Riddell has acquired expertise in the areas of maternal, fetal and pediatric urology. After practicing in Canada since 1999, and as an assistant professor of pediatric urology at SUNY Upstate since 2011, Dr. Riddell has focused on the minimally invasive treatment of genitourinary disease in children including hundreds of percutaneous and robotic procedures. Dr. Riddell has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters in his field, and has pioneered new surgical techniques. He remains active on faculty in the Department of Urology with ongoing basic science and clinical research as well as spearheading the pediatric urology program.

Dr. Riddell resides in Manlius, NY with his wife and children.

MATTHEW MASON, MDDr. Mason was born and raised in the Binghamton area. He received his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse in 2008. He completed his residency in Urology at the University of Virginia in

Charlottesville, VA in 2013, and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN in 2015. Following fellowship, Dr.

Mason moved back to New York state and joined SUNY Upstate as an assistant professor of Pediatric Urology. Dr. Mason has presented abstracts at numerous regional and national Urology meetings and published numerous peer-reviewed articles in his field, including the topics of robotic surgery in children, congenital renal anomalies, and sacral neuromodulation in children. He is active within the Department of Urology with ongoing research projects and a focus on the education of students, residents, and medical providers. Dr. Mason resides in Manlius, NY with his wife and son.

REBECCA SCHROEDER, PPCNP-BCMs. Schroeder was born and raised in Central Square, NY. In 2003, Rebecca began her career with an Associate Degree in Nursing which she earned from Crouse Hospital

School of Nursing. After completing her associate degree, she decided to further pursue her career in nursing and continued her education at SUNY Upstate Medical University. During that time, she earned both her Bachelors and Masters in Science Degrees. Throughout her education, she found a passion for working with children and made the decision to focus her studies towards pediatrics. After practicing as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner for three years, she joined the Pediatric Urology team as SUNY Upstate in 2014. Rebecca is also a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and is nationally board certified though the ANCC. Rebecca resides in Cicero, NY with her husband and two dogs.
