Current Site Information
Upton Cross Library is situated within Upton Cross Primary School. The library comprises
one room which is curtained off from the school hall. This is a dual use library that has
been operating as a school and public library since the late 1990s and is used by the school
as required outside of its public library hours on an entirely self-service basis.

We have re-used the mapping exercise undertaken in 2010 as the number of borrowers
had remained virtually identical. A new mapping exercise would have some time and cost
implications and a timescale for its completion would depend on resources available from
another department.

Use of Public Computers
A single public computer is available. It uses the school’s network to provide internet
access which sometimes causes filtering difficulties due to safeguarding software.
This community access computer includes, but is by no means limited to, databases,
homework resources, audiovisual content and e-books, and digital reference services.
