devices

The files are stored in the UPV servers and are offered to

ItunesU with RSS feeds.

Administration with Safari web browser

Dayly or weekly access statistics

The multimedia files are downloaded to the devices

You only hace one level to aggregate content (it is not very

flexible)

41

YOUTUBE (1)

Easier to start (you can make a channel with a standard

user), but much more difficult to be incorporated to

Youtube EDU (we have submitted the form 3 times

without answer)

Access with web browser

The videos are uploaded to Youtube servers

Users view the videos, do not download them

You can only aggregate the contents with a limited

number of playing lists

Very poweful statistics tool

47

Page 48: UPV Digital Content Creation Services

YOUTUBE (2) We uploaded the first educational video on 22-09-2011

4,038 educational videos

Php tool for bulk upload with tags, description, etc. It creates playing

lists

Almost 8,200,000 views, between 8,000 and 12,000 every day

More than 4,230 comments, nearly all very positive

Almost 33,000 subscribers

Metadata adapted to Youtube format

We add UPV to every video’s title for Youtube SEO

We add a text box with the author for embebbed players

Views from Spain, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina…
