TEACHER

The prices are for a licence for the URKUND system for checking for plagiarism in primary schools, secondary schools and adult education. The licence runs for 12 months and can start at any time during the year. Prices do not include VAT.

URSA Minor

With the new URSA Minor, URKUND administrators can have a general view of how much URKUND’s top-performing anti-plagiarism system is being used within the organisation. Admins can see via URSA Minor whether the school’s policy on using URKUND is being followed or whether more training is required among the staff. URSA Minor also gives the administrator the opportunity to create new accounts for new members of staff, remove former colleagues’ accounts and send out log-in details to colleagues who have misplaced their own. Recommended for anyone tasked with managing URKUND within the school.Price: 185 DKK per month

URSA Major

With URKUND’s URSA Major, URKUND administrators can have a detailed understanding of how much URKUND’s lauded anti-plagiarism system is being used within the organisation. URSA Major, via its statistics tools, makes it easy to see whether the school’s policy on using URKUND is being followed or whether more training is required among the staff. URSA Major also gives the administrator the opportunity to create new accounts for new members of staff, remove former colleagues’ accounts and send out log-in details to colleagues who have misplaced their own. Furthermore, URSA Major gives the administrator full access to the system; the admin can see which documents have been sent in to the users and what the result of URKUND’s plagiarism control scan, simplifying centralised quality control immensely. Recommended for anyone tasked with managing URKUND within the school.Price: 469 DKK per month

Training on siteFor URKUND training on-site, our Training Manager does the run-through at the school. This is an attractive way of learning URKUND in detail. The training helps to raise awareness of the problems with plagiarism and to give greater impetus to usingthe system. The training takes about 2 hours. The number of participants is not fixed, but the training is suitable for anywhere from 15 to 100 teachers.Recommended for teachers in primary and secondary schools, universities and colleges.Price 4 450 DKK. Web trainingA quick and effective way of learning more about URKUND. URKUND’s Training Manager does the run-through live on the Web. The discussion is done by telephone. The focus is on the system’s functionality. The training takes about 60 minutes, and is arranged for 5-10 participants.

The living plagiarism manualLecture with a run-through of what constitutes plagiarism, and how texts can be handled to avoid this. Based on the URKUND Plagiarism manual, we also provide tips and advice about how pupils and students can plan the writing process in order to get it done in time and to achieve the desired result.

Recommended for pupils and students in primary and secondary schools, universities and colleges.

Price: 3 750 DKK. Prices do not include any travel expenses.

Within most teaching groups, the pedagogical view on the problems of plagiarism varies greatly and there is often no central policy of how to deal with plagiarism. Based on our experiences, we offer a three hour lecture that highlights the problem from different viewpoints and raises potential questions and solutions to be discussed within the teaching group.

This seminar is built upon Swedish pedagogical methods and is aimed at the Swedish market.

URKUND Advanced Training PackURKUND’s Advanced Training Pack for teachers and head teachers is on the theme “Preventing plagiarism through know-how, procedures and management”. This is based on URKUND’s 4-stage model. It provides the school with specific tools for dealing with plagiarism. Everything is customised to the organisation’s needs and wishes. Choose the whole pack or some of the steps below.

1. ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING SITUATIONWe ask the teachers to answer a web survey. There are also interviews with some head teachers and a cross-section of teachers. The interviews are supplemented by questions sent by e-mail.

2. FOCUS DAYLectureThe FOCUS DAY starts off with a lecture for teachers and head teachers. The lecture takes 1,5 - 2 hours, including two breaks. The lecturer has long and documented experience in the field.

WorkshopTeachers and head teachers discuss a number of different situations based on the impressions gained during the lecture. The aim is to approach a consensus about the pros and cons of various methods for measuring proficiency after a particular stage.

3. FEEDBACKFEEDBACK is important. Based on the results from the previous steps, we produce proposals for a policy. These help to give the school clear guidelines for what matters when cheating is discovered, and the consequences and actions that ensue. This is valuable for both teachers and pupils. An action plan based on the views of the head teachers and teachers is produced.

4. FOLLOW-UPSAfter the FOCUS DAY, the school is provided with a programme for follow-ups, and an implementation plan for URKUND. This makes it easy to follow up the advanced training, and see what effects the work has had.
