A zoning proposal is presently before the D allas City Council wh ich ifadopted will have a profound and adve rse impact on the Old. Preston Ho llowNeighborhood your neighborhood.
If approved, the land developm ent application will change singlefamily residence zon ing to a lighted m ulti-purpose athletic field at thesouthwest corner of Inwood Lane and W alnut Hill. It will destabilize ourneighborhood.
De spite opposition from each prope rty owner adjacent to the propo sedathletic field, the applicant, Ursuline Academ y, has mo bilized many vo icesfrom outside our neighbo rhood in support of this dramatic change.
Right now is the time w e all need to speak out in opposition to the: Eight 45 foot tall lights 22 foot high netting along Inwood Intrusive noise Additional traffic
The proposed facility is not just a soccer field, which w as proposedand rejected by the City Co uncil 11 years ago. The pe nding proposal is for amu lti-purpose lighted athletic field, that will mo st likely be in use 4-5evenings per wee k during m uch of the year. (Please review the attacheddrawings) It will have a profound im pact on the quality of life in the areaand studies show it will diminish nearby prop erty values.
