Athens GovernmentThe stategoi was a group of 10 citizens who ran and commanded the army.
Athens Question??????Why Where The Athens Considered The beginning of democracy????
Athens Answer !!!!!!!!!Pericles, said, "It is true that we (Athenians) are called a democracy, for the administration is in the hands of the many and not the few, with equal justice to all alike in their private disputes."

That is why the founding fathers of our country came up with the Constitution including the Bill of Rights and the twenty-six amendments.
