QUALITY INDICATORS

Arguably, U.S. Army Junior ROTC is one of the most successful and significantly impactful youth-oriented programs in American history. As educators and others measure success, we have identified five Quality Indicators used to measure the effectiveness of the program in high schools.

U.S Army Junior ROTC exceeds schools’ averages in each of these categories:

CONTINUE TO LEAD

The mission of the U.S. Army Junior ROTC is “To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens”. This mission is accomplished with U.S. Army retirees serving as JROTC Instructors in over 1700 high schools.

CONTINUE TO MENTOR

You will be provided the U.S. Army Junior ROTC curriculum. This program is designed to develop the baseline leadership characteristics necessary for the workforce of the future.

CONTINUE TO SERVE

When you become a U.S. Army Junior ROTC Instructor, you will become part of a community. You will motivate young people to be better students, better leaders, and better citizens.

CONTINUE TO TRAIN

Activities you may facilitate include drill, physical training, classroom instruction, marksmanship, national-level events, robotics, summer camps, and community service projects.
