Here we are into fall, and we have had a pretty busy month of September. I want to thank Hap for conducting three patrols as well as a charting class. It appears the members that need to be both certified and recertified are now ready for the QE session. And so I will need to make contact with the QE’s and submit several dates. We just returned from the Keys and Key West, and while there I made my annual visit to CG Station Key West where I met a Coastie and took a tour of the base and docks with several CG Cutters and the fast response boats. They remain busy chasing drug boats and illegal immigrants. My wife (Natalie) and I will be hosting our 16th annual Oktoberfest party here at the Boathouse on October 31st. This has always been a fun time to get together and enjoy comradery. This year as in the past we will be joined with our Wedgefield Boat Club, who will be doing a chili cook off with several members.
In Freedom, Friendship and Charity,
Ed Wozniak, Jr.
