1. Change the Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals to "Corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage. Harmful if swallowed. Harmful if absorbed through skin. Harmful if inhaled. Do not get in eyes or on Clothing. Avoid contact with skin. Avoid breathing spray mist. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.".

2. The Restricted use Pesticide statement Should be enclosed in a box and must include "Due to eye irritation.".

3. To the PPE add "Wear protective eyewear.". To the Engineering Controls section add "Need not wear Chemical-resistant gloves and protective eyeware when using an enclosed cab except required in 40 CFR 170(d)(SJ.

4. On page 2 remove the title "User Safety ReqUirements" that occurs in

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS Atrazine can travel (seep or leach) through the soil and can enter ground water which may be used as drinking water, Atrazine has been found in ground water. Users are advised not to apply atrazine to sand and toamy sand soils where the water table (ground water) is close to the surface and where these soils are very permeable; Le, welklrained, Your local agricultural agencies can provide further information on the type of soil io your area and ttle location of ground water.

I. GenerallnfOlmalion Laddok® 5L herbicide is intended for the postemergence control of a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds. laddok 5L does not control grasses.

Mode of Action laddok 5l is a norcAlS product that inhibits photosynthesis in braadleaf weeds mainly through contact action.

Crop T alerance Com (field, pop, seed, silage, and sweet) and sorghum (forage and grain) are tolerant 10 Laddok 5L al all stages of growth. Leaf speckling may occur, but plants generally outgrow this condition within 10 days. New growth is normal and crop vigor is not reduced. Seed producers should consull the seed company regarding the tolerance of inbred lines of seed population to Laddok 5L.

II. Application Instructions Apply Laddok 5L al the rates recommended in Table 1 unless instructed differently by Section VII. Crop-Specific Information. Applications can be made to actively growing weeds as aerial, broadcast, band, or spot spray applications at the rates and growth stages listed in Table 1. The most effective control will result from making postemergence applications of LaddoK 5L earty, when weeds are small. Delaying application permits weeds to exceed the maximum size stated and will prevent adequate conlrol. Postemergence applk:alion 10 corn and sorghum musl be made before com and sorghum teach 12 inches in height.

Special Directions for Aerial ApplIcation To obtain uniform coverage and to avoid atilt hazards, follow these guidelines: • Do not apply Laddok 5l b)l aircraft when wind is blowing more than 10 mph. Use coarse sprays

(larger droplels) as they are less likely to drift. • Do not apply laddok 5L by air if ornamental or sensitive nontarget crops such as soybeans,

peanuts, cotton, sugar beets, sunflowers, or okra are within 200 feet downwind. The applicator must follow the most restrictive use cautions to avoid drift hazards, Including those found in this labeling as well as applicable stat6 and local regulations and ordinances.

SPRAY DRIFT M",NAGEMENT

Avoiding spray drift at Ihe applioatlon site is the responsibility 01 th& 2lppIiCalor. The interaction of many equipmenl-and-wealher-related faclors determine the pOlential for spray drift. The applicator and the grower are responsible for considering an these factors when making decisions. The follOwing drift management requirements must be followed to avoid off-target drift movement from aerial applications to agriculturai field crops. These requirements do not apply to forestry applications, public health uses or to applications using dry formulations.

1. The distance of the outer move nc;:zles on the boom must not exceed 3/4 the length of the wingspan or rotor.

2. Nozzles must always point backward parallel with the air stream and never be painted downwards more than 45 degrees. Where States have more stringent regulations, they should be Observed.

AERIAL DRIFT REDUCTION ADVISORY INFORMATION

Importance Of Droplet Size The most effective way to reduce drift polential is to apply large droplets. The best drift management strategy is to apply the largest droplets thai provide sufficient coverage and control. Applying larger droplets reduces drift potential, but will no! prevent drift if applications are made improperly, or under unfavorable environmental conditions (See Wind, Temperature and Ht1midtty, and Temperature Inversion section of this label).
