ROTATIONAL CROPPING GUIDELINE

Cotton may be planted at the following intervals after a PURSUIT application if the criteria listed are met:

1. Nine and one-halfmonths after an application of PURSUIT • PURSUIT applied to peanuts only, and • soil texture is sandy loam or loamy sand only, and • greater than 16 inches of rainfall and! or irrigation is received following

application of PURSUIT through October of the application year. • Postemergence applications only. (Refer to the PURSUIT

herbicide label for application instructions).

2. Eighteen months after an application of PURSUIT • If the above criteria are not met, rotation to cotton must be at least 18 months

following an application of PURSUIT herbicide.

This label must be in the possession of the user at the time of herbicide application.

SlllSitive crops such as sugar beets. canola. and leafy VEgetables may be injured by spray drift or other indirect contact wiih PURSUIT.

Spray equipment used for PURSUIT application must be drained and thoroughly cleaned with WIder before being used to apply other products. DO NOT make more than one application of PURSUIT per year.

Refer to the PURSUIT leaflet label for approved oombination treatments. When PURSUIT is used in combination with another herbicide, refer to the respective label for rates. methods of application, proper timing, weeds controUed, restrictions and precautions. Always use in accordance with the more restrictive label restrictions and precautions. No label dosages should be exceeded. PURSUIT cannot be mixed with any product containing a label prohibiting such mixtures.

DO NOT apply PURSUIT after ]W1e 30.

Allow at least 30 days between application and harvest.

Preplant Incorporated AppHcatioDl. Apply PURSUIT at the broadcast rate of 2 ounces per acre to sand and loamy sand soils. or 3 ounces per acre to all other soils within 1 week before planting. Applied preplant incorporated, PURSUIT may be tank-mixed with a registered grass herbicide.

.Preemergence AppHc:atioDl. Apply PURSUIT at the broadcast rate of 2 ounces per acre to sand and loamy sand soils, or 3 ounces per acre to all other soils immediately after, or up to I day after planting. PURSUIT may be applied in a tank-mix with a registered grass herbicide '1r applied preemergence following a preplant incorporated application of a registered grass herbicide.

Following forty months after a PURSUIT application, and before planting any crop not listed elsewhere in the ROTATIONAL CROP GUIDELINE, a suooessful field bioassay must be completed. The field bioassay cansists of a test strip of t':ie intended rotational crop planted across the previously t.reabld field and grown to maturity. The test strip should include low areas and knoUs, and include variations in soil such as type and pH. If no crop injury is evident in the test strip, the intended rotational crop may be planted the following year.

If the field is limed to adjust pH prior to planting rotational ere; ; not listed in the ROTATIONAL CROP GUIDELINE, apply the lime at least 12 months prior to planting the rotational crop.

PostemergeJ1ce Applications. Apply PURSUIT at 3 ounces per acre. A nonionic surfactant must be added to the spray solution. The nonionic surfactant must contain at least 80% active ingredient and should be used at a rate of 2 pints per 100 gallons of spray mixture.

6. Twenty-six months after PURSUIT application: Potatoes

7. Forty months after PURSUIT application: All crops not listed elsewhere in this ROTATIONAL CROP GUIDELINE. Following forty months after a PURSUIT application, and before planting any crop not listed elmvhere in the ROTATIONAL CROP GUIDELINE, a successful field bioassay must be completed. The field bioassay consists of a test strip of the intended rotational crop planted 8CtOIS the previOUl1y treated field and arown to maturity. The test Itrip should include low areas and knolls, and include variatiOll.1 in soil such as type and pH. If no crop injury is evidEllt in the test strip. the intended rotational crop may be planted the following year.
