STATEMENT OF PRACTICAL TREATMENT In case of contact with eyes immediately flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. In case of contact with skin wash with soap and water and rinse well. If irritation persists, consult a physician. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If swallowed, promptly drink a large quantity of milk. eggwhites, gelatin solution or if these are not available, drink large quantities of water. Avoid alcohol. Call a pbysician immediately. NOTE TO PHYSICIANS: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures against circulatory shock. respiratory depression and convulsion maybe needed.

TIMSEN DILUTION TABLE Preparing solutions to desired solution strengths is made easy with the provided measuring spoon. It holds 3.8 grams of TIMSEN which is the unit or "dose" for making up solutions quickly and accurately. Add TIMSEN to water. It dissolves rapidly in hot or cold water. GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DIRECTIONS FOR USE

before using this product.

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

This product is intended for sanitizing and disinfecting in pouitIy slaughtering and further processing plants, poultIy hatcheries and farms, meat plants, hog and cattle farms, fish hatcheries and plants. TlMSEN solutions may be applied as a spray or mist. with a clean cloth. sponge or inop or used in a dip tank for smaller equipment and articles such as employees' tools, gloves and hands. TIMSEN solutions are stable. Clean, unused portions may be stored in a closed container for later use. Do not contaminate feed, food, drinking water or packaging materials.

TlMSEN is accepted by USDAIFSIS for use in official establishments operating under the Federal meat, pouitIy, shell egg grading and cgg products inspection programs. Class D-2. .

I. TO SANITIZE: any previously cleaned and rinsed roOD CONTACT SURFACES (e.g., grinders, mixers, blenders, choppers, stuffers, piping, conveyors, tables, work stations, poultIy drinking and feeding stations, trolleys, tanks, tubs, barrels, tote bo~:es, smoke 'lcks and hooks etc.) apply a 200 ppm solution of TIMSEN to thoronghIy wet the surfaces to be disinfected. (3.8 grams in 2 gallons of ..fater equals 200 ppm) Apply promptly after cleaning or just before reuse. For critical points such as cut-up tables, work stations and p.1ckaging conveyors in the final processing operations, both applications are recommended. A potable rinse is not requin::d. As an 'lternative after cleanup, apply a 400 ppm solution. Wet surfaces thoronghly. Allow 15 minutes or more contact time. Rinse with /btab!e water before use.

2. TO DISINFECT any previously cleaned NON-FOOD CONTACT SURFACES (e.g., walls, colUJllIlS. floors, ceilings, light fixlures, ducts, sinks, trash barrels, Inedible drums, non-processing machinery, etc.) apply a 400 ppm solution ofTIMSEN. (3.8 grams in one gallon of water equals 400 ppm) Wet the surfaces thoroughly. Do not rinse unless required by local authorities. Use it to disinfcx:t poultry Ilatchcrics, seiter trays, hatch baskets and machinery, all dry slorage areas, cold rooms, docks, trucks and transport cages. This ~Ipplicalion is also suitable for toilets, showers, locker rooms, break rooms and similar public areas. If desired, in production arcas monitor results and reduce in slages to 200 ppm as satisfactory control is achieved and maintained. Use an 800 ppm solution in foot baths to sanitize boots at cntrances to production areas. .

3. TO CONTROL ODORS in dry storage areas, cold rooms, refrigerated showcases, kitchens, (locks, dumpsters, and in waiting rooms, toilcts, showers, etc., apply a fine spray mist of 800 ppm TIMSEN solution throughout the area or on the equipment. . To control more '}lcnsc odors, use a 1600 ppm TIMSEN solution. Rinse food contact surfaces before use. Do not spray on food or packaging materials.

4. In MEDICAL AND VETERINARY FACILITIES on hard surfaces such as walls, floors, tables, counters and waste containcrs clean with a detergent, rinse and apply an 800 ppm solution ofTIMSEN. Do not rinse.

1 HAND AND GLOVE SANTIlZING: Wash hands and gloves with warm water and soap. Rinse with potable water. Immerse gloves for 1 minute or more and immerse hands briefly in a 100 to 200 ppm solution of TIMSEN to above the wrist area. Drain or wipe hands with a clean single service towel. Do not rill3C gloves unless required by regulating authorities. Discard nsed solution daily or more often if it becomes diluted. Establish a procedure to test solution strenglh in your situations.

6. SHELL EGG SANITIZING: Wash chicken eggs for table use or processing. Wash all turkey eggs. Chicken eggs for hall:hing may be washed or not washed at your option. Allow washed eggs to drip reasonably dry in a clean environment. PrompU:. S;Jray eggs from all sides until thoroughly wet using a 200-400 ppm solution of TIMSEN. The ~lotio.n shonld be at a ter.[tpef:litire a feW d~gtees above the egg tcmperature. Drip dry. Do nol rinse. Do not reuse sanitizing solution.

This product is intended for sanitizing and disinfecting in dairies and dairy limns, food processing plants, retail food markets and food service companies such as restaurants, cafelerias and caterers. TIMSEN solutions may be applied as a spray or mist, with a clean cloth, sponge or mop or used in a dip tank for smaller equipment and articles such as employees' tools, gloves and lhands. TIMSEN solutions are stable. Clean, unused portions may be stored in a sealed container for later use. Do not contaminate: food, water, feed or packaging materials. USDA accepts TIMSEN as a Class D-2 sanitizer.

TIMSEN fulfills the criteria of Appendix F, the Grade' A" Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, 1978 Recommendations of the United States Public Health Service. When tested by the method outlined by Chambers, 200 ppm of the active ingredient will reduce 99.999"10 of the test organisms within 30 seconds, in water hardoess up to 550 ppm when calculated as CaC01

. ) FOR ALGAE CONTROL IN INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL RECIRCULATING WATER COOLING SYSTEMS: Introduce TIMSEN into the system at a point where it can be thoroughly mixed. Initiate treatment to prevent buildup or after the

., system's efficiency has been reduced. For each 5,000 gallons of water: /

• Initial application (With visible algae): Dissolve 16 to 24 ounces ofTIMSEN in 2 gallons of water and introduce the solution into the system. Repeat until necessary until control is achieved.

• Maintenance and Prevention: Dissolve 6 ounces ofTIMSEN in 1 gallon of water and introduce the solution into the system every 7 days or as needed to control.

• For best results, clean heavily infected systems before treatment with TIMSEN. If soap or an anionic detergent is us<:d, rinse thoroughly with clean water before introducing TIMSEN. TIMSEN is compatible with almost all corrosion inJubiting additives.

AS A SWIMMING POOL ALGICIDE: .Initial Dose Ratio: .Maintenance Dose Ratio:

32 ounces in 50,000 gallons ofwater 8 ounces in 50,000 gallons of water

INITIAL DOSE is used when filling the pool or at the start of the swimming season if there is visible algae growth. Add TIMSEN when the filter and pump are in operation for better mixing and distribution. Vacuum the pool after 24 hours to remove any algae debris. After adding TIMSEN, wait 15 minutes before entering pool.

MAINTENANCE. DOSE is used at 3 - 5 day intervals. Add TIMSEN while water is being circulated. Use at 3 day intervals when temperatures are pJgl1, when the bathing load is hea\1' and always after a rain. Also add a maintenance dose for each 10,000 gallons of makeup water or in that ratio. For example: Add 1.6 ounces for 10,000 gallons, 4.0 ounces for 25,000 gallons, ctc.

TIMSEN DILUTION TABLE Preparing solutions to desired solution strengths is made easy with the provided measuring spoon. It holds 3.8 grams of llMSEN which is the unit or "dose" for making up solutions quickly and aa:urately. Add TIMSEN to water. It dissolves rapidly in hot or cold water. TIMSEN soIutioll5 may be applied as a spray or mist, with a clean cloth, sponge or mop or used in a dip tank for smaller equipment and articles such as employees' tools, gloves and hand~. This application is also suitable for toilets, showers, locker rooms, break rooms and similar public areas. If desired, in production areas monitor results and reduce in stages to 200 ppm as satisfactory control is achieved and maintained. TO CONTROL ODORS in dry storage areas, cold rooms. refrigerated showcases, kitchens, docks, dumpsters, and ;n waiting rooms, loilets, showers, etc., apply a fine spray mist of 800 ppm TIMSEN solulion throughout the area or on the equipment . USDA accepts TlMSEN as a Class 0-2 sanitizer.

TlMSEN fulfills the criteria of Appendix F, the Grade • A· Pasteurized Milk Ordinance. 1978 Recommendations of the United States Public Health Service. When tested by the method outlined by Cbamber;, 200 ppm of the active ingredient will reduce 99.999% of the test organisms within 30 seconds, in water hardness up to SSO ppm when calculated as eaC01

A!1ow 30 seconds or more contact time. Wipe the area with a single· use clean paper towel and proceed to milk the cow.

AS A SLiMICIDE IN PULP AND PAPER MILLS: To control bacteria and fungi in the process water, add 12 ounces of TIM SEN to each 1,000 gallons of water. Dilutioa will be 36 ppm. Determine results and adjust the amount of TIM SEN to the minimum necessary for control.

) system's efficiency has been reduced. For each 5,000 gallons of water:

• Initial application (With visible algae): Dissolve 16to 24 ounces ofTIMSEN in 2 gallcns oCwater and introduce the solution into the system. Repeat until necessary until control is achieved .

• Maintenance and Prevention: Dissolve 6 ounces ofTIMSEN in I gallon of water and introduce the solution into the system eYery 7 days or as nccdcd to control .

• For best results, clean heavily infected systems before treatment with TIMSEN. If soap or an anionic dcterr.ent is used, rinse thoroughly with clean water before introducing TIMSEN. TIMSEN is compau'ble with almost all corrosion inhibiting additives.

AS A SWIMMING POOL ALGICIDE: -Initial Dose ibtio: -Maintenance Dose Ratio:

INITIAL DOSE is used when filling the pool or at the stan of the swimming season if there is visible algae growth. Add llMSEN when the filter and pump are in operation for better mixing and distribution. Vacuum the pool after 24 houn to remcm: any algae debris. Aller adding TIMSEN, wait I S minutes before entering pool.

MAINTt:NANCI:. DOSI is used at 3 - S day intervals. Add TIMSEN while water is being cirtlJlated. Use at 3 day intervals when temperatures are high, when the bathing load is heavy and always after a rain. Also add a maintenance dose for each 10,000 gallORS of makeup water or in that ratio. for e.umple: Add 1.6 ounces for 10,000 gallons, 4.0 0IIJICeI for 2S,OOO gallons. etc.
