Adult Sunday School

The Adult Sunday School is in the process of going through a study by Max Lucado on the book of 2nd Corinthians. Come and join us in the Jesse Seeley classroom on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM!

Thursday Evening Study & Prayer On Thursday evenings, a small group gathers at Happy Tum-my at 8:30 PM. We come for prayer and to discuss various theological questions: what constitutes man (body, soul, and/or spirit); when do we receive our soul; how is sin transferred from one generation to the next; what is the Holy Spirt; what is the differences between the various world religions, etc. to name a few. All are welcome to join in.

Various Bible Studies

COFFEE FELLOWSHIP

Come and join us for fellow-ship and coffee before church each Sunday. Coffee is ready by 8:15 am. Come and social-ize before church begins.

Preparing for “2018 Picnic Under Pavilion” Last summer, we started a new outreach of love. We offered a free lunch to all for two hours one day a week each week during summer break. The meals were available under our pavilion on our property. This year we hope to expand upon this ministry. Fliers will be given to the schools in April and May so that the kids are made aware of it before school lets out. Also more fliers will be posted around, on Facebook, and on our website. We are also hoping to expand the menu. We are considering as menu options: brats/hotdogs, sliders, taco in a bag, sloppy joes, individual bags of chips, fruit cups, bottled wa-ter, flavored water packets, ice cream cups, and popsicles. This ministry is only supported by donations. If you desire to help, we accept either finan-cial or food donations. We appreciate all the help. Talk to Pastor John if you have any questions.

Harvest Home Mark your calendars now for Saturday September the 8th. Harvest Home will once again be in full swing. For 2018, we hope to go even further than years prior. We will continue to have a raffle and silent auction. Local vendors will be encouraged to display

and sell their wares. Drew Kerr will head up a second year of a disc golf competition. We are also hoping to see about the return of a few bounce houses. We also hope to see if local busi-ness and organization would like to set up various carnival games and competitions: such as a dunk tank, cake walk, 1 mile walk, or any other fun ideas. If you are interested in being a vendor who would like to have a space or an organization that would like to assist with games you can contact Myrt Willis at (309)230-9235.

RIVERDALE ABC PROJECT We are once again asking for your help in collecting plastic lids for the Riverdale “A Bench for Caps” Program. They are asking for medicine caps, milk jug caps, detergent caps, hair spray caps, flip top caps, spout caps, spay paint caps, ointment caps, cottage cheese lids, yogurt lids, peanut butter lids, cool whip container lids, and coffee can lids lids to name a few.

VBS: Save the Date This year Vacation Bible School will be using life on the river to learn about Jesus. Save the week of July 30th—August 3rd. We look forward to you joining us.
