A deranged dad angry at his newborn tossed the baby boy from as high asnine feet in the air during a fit of rage, ultimately killing the child, who hadendured abuse throughout his entire six week life, prosecutors say.

The tiny tot was born weighing only 3 pounds, 14 ounces, but police say thatdidn’t stop 24-year-old David Redmond from beating the child two or threetimes per week since the baby was born little more than a monthago, according to KGW-TV.

The child was fussy when Redmond returned to his Vancouver, Wash., homeafter work Oct. 15, so he tossed the child from seven to nine feet away onto achanging table, where the child bashed its head on a wooden railing and letout “a really intense yell,” court documents obtained by the news station detail.

“I threw him pretty hard,” Redmond told detectives in admitting to the murder,the papers detail. “I was pretty annoyed.”

The shocking admission to the first-degree murder charge happened beforeRedmond, wearing a blank look on his face and a green “suicide smock,”appeared for a bail hearing in Clark County Superior Court on Monday.

The bad dad initially told officers he’d rolled onto the child during a nap, butquickly changed his tale after doctors found evidence of blunt force traumainflicted on the child’s head.

Little Everett had a large skull fracture and such bad hemorrhaging in his eyesthat it extended out into the periphery, The Columbian reported.

Redmond only called 911 later that night when he saw the child wasunresponsive and he woke his wife to tell her he wasn’t breathing well,according to the local newspaper.

The tiny baby was put on life support, but was pronounced brain dead anddied Saturday afternoon.

Redmond admitted he felt guilty about the incident and “indicated he wants todie,” Deputy Prosecutor Patrick Robinson said in court, where a judge set bailat $750,000 and an arraignment for Thursday, according to the newspaper.

Authorities said David Redmond admitted to a long list of abuse inflicted on thechild since he was born. He held the child’s mouth shut to stop him from crying,threw the baby on a couch and watch as he fell to the floor, squeezing thenewborn and spanking him to the point of bruising when little Everett was onlyone week old, KGW reported.

Redmond was in court Monday wearing a green ‘suicide smock’ and a blank look on his face asauthorities ordered him held on $750,000 bail as he faces a first-degree murder charge.

The suspect’s mother took to Facebook to defend her son, asking for “love andsupport, not judgment.”

“We had a horrific tragedy happen,” Jenifer Redmond wrote on the socialmedia site. “Our son out of exhaustion hurt our baby grandson. The baby died.Our son is not (the) monster that the news station and papers would like you tobelieve.”

The family pastorsaid DavidRedmond’s wife,Ashley Redmond,“is just totallyblindsided by this… she can’t evenbelieve this hashappened,” GlenJohnson told TheColumbian.

Center Church, where Ashley is employed. The church will cover the costs ofburial for the tiny baby, who weighed just six pounds at the time of his death.

“We are concerned with getting Ashley healed,” Johnson told the paper. “Weare trying to love on Ashley and get her through this experience. It’s probablythe worst thing a human can experience, and she is going through it.”

He was "pretty annoyed". SMDH!!
