Enhanced Crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) @

• 6th/Greenwood

Enhanced Pedestrian Crossings @

• 3rd/Seward Avenue

• 4th/Greenwood (next phase)

Replacing/Rebuild signals and signs at OB Riley and River Mall.

New signal at US20/Mervin Sampels

Removal of Right Turn Lanes between Mervin Sampels and Butler Mkt

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Upgrades

Stormwater/Drainage features

US20 is a primary Arterial running through City of Bend

18,300 – 22,900 vehicles/day and 4.7 – 18.6% trucks

Statewide Highway, Federally Designated Truck Route, and Reduction

Review Route on National Highway System

US20/Greenwood section is also a designated Oregon Freight Route

Currently at DAP, PS&E June 2020 and Bid Let July 2020

locations to match existing curb to curb width of the corridor

• Sugar Loaf/Conoco Station • OB Riley/Mall Entrance

• Shopko

Proposed Change: Maintain 4 lanes bi-directional

traffic with two-way left turn

lane similar to north and south

Curb to curb of pavement width will be 70 feet wide

Existing Conditions: 4 lanes bi-directional traffic with a

two-way left turn lane and occasional right turn lanes

Curb to curb of pavement where right turn lanes is 86 feet wide
