New York JetsSeveral members of the New York Jets will be in attendance and available to join your group. Dave Szott, Director of Player Developmentfor the Jets was a NJ State Wrestling Champion before playing 14 NFLseasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, The Washington Redskins and theNew York Jets. He is a tireless fundraisier for charitable causes and Davewould love to see everyone participate in this Els for Autism GolfChallenge affiliated event.

A Statement from Jim Ravannack - President of USA WrestlingUSA Wrestling is pleased to stage an event that both celebrates theOlympic sports of wrestling and golf, and provides resources andawareness to the fight against Autism. I have noticed the look of

accomplishment in the eyes of the many autistic wrestlers that I’ve personally had the opportunity to coach. Most autistic kids havenever experienced a bona fide athletic accomplishment. We providea “big brother” wrestler to mentor each autistic kid for�one year. They teach tactics and strategies and serve as shadow protectors. Ours is a one-on-one sport which allows for the competitive levelto be appropriately measured. In years when�the autistic numbers werehigh, we’d have those wrestlers practice on one mat while the Varsity/JrVarsity etc. practiced on the other two mats. We make the entireexperience as normal as possible. We’ve even shut down our StateTournament for 15 minutes and the big brothers help to conduct matches for our autistic kids…we even had 2008 Olympic ChampionHenry Cejudo present awards!
