Champions of Character: Perseverance

Amber Govin - ExploAmber Govin has shown great perseverance in our Check and Connect class. Despite her shyness she has volunteered information to the class. She has also shared her examples of artistry with us and told us about some of the activities she enjoys outside of school. She has helped some of her fellow students with her great examples of answers to questions some are struggling with. Amber has become a valuable member of our class and it is great to have her in our class.


Aaron Mata - ExploAaron Mata has shown perseverance by improving on his focus in class. He often outscores other students on his responsibilities. He conducted a very informative student led conference with his mother. While he struggles at times with distraction he always refocuses and gets his work done. Thank you Aaron for all of your effort.

Valeria Castillo – 8th gradeValeria never gives up and persists in her quiet thoughtful way each day. She supports her classmates and teachers in both academics and behavior. She pays attention to all of the details surrounding her and gives loving gifts of her time and occasionally a delicious treat. She is a perfect example of a student with determination and perseverance.


Heidi Hobson – 7th gradeHeidi Hobson shows perseverance in each and every one of her core classes. She will work until she understands the new concepts introduced or if something needs to be redone to improve her grade she is right on it.


Kyran Evans – 7th gradeKyran Evans has shown perseverance in being a new student at Hadley. He is always asking questions so that he can learn how things are done here at Hadley and has not given up once in trying to catch up in his classes since he arrived here.


Alyssa Radke – 6th gradeAlyssa is an incredible student who diligently works to make it to school and to do her best work! She works strategically through difficulties and does everything in her power to be present at school and to stay on top of her classwork.


Francisco Barron – 6th gradeFrancisco shows perseverance through his ability and self-control that push him work through challenges. In Math, Francisco, uses strategies he has learned and manipulatives to work through tough math problems. Francisco sticks with it his work and get it done and did it to the best of his ability. No matter what the challenge, Francisco knows perseverance is important because it keeps pushing him through to his goal and to the good feeling that comes with knowing you did your best
