Faculty

• Nationally known dairy science faculty, normally not available to consortium universities

• Connections for graduate school and future career pathways

Presenter
Presentation Notes
Since virtually no dairy faculty exists at the member universities, the desire was to recruit the best national faculty to teach the various segments of dairy herd management. All faculty are nationally known and come from academic institutions or agri-business. Material and presentations are monitored to insure students are receiving the “best from the best”.

A value cannot be placed on a program like the United States Dairy Education & Training Consortium because of how it invests so much time, effort, and resources into the students and the program. They value your experience and your input and realize that you are the future of not only the dairy industry, but whatever industry you eventually decide to pursue a career in.

I would recommend this program to anyone, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience of the dairy industry. This program is completely unique, and there is no better opportunity to learn about the Dairy Industry in a program that is short, effective, and economically feasible, than the United States Dairy Education & Training Consortium.

The knowledge and experience gained at USDETC is something that you can't get anywhere else at a university. The professors brought in from around the United States are truly experts in their fields of study. Even as a person who thought that only reproduction was my passion. I found subjects such as nutrition, calf management, and the financials of a dairy very interesting and something that I could implement in my career and farm back home. I would highly recommend individuals with little to no dairy experience as well as individuals with a dairy background to attend USDETC. You will have the time of your life by meeting like-minded people and gaining knowledge and experiences that will last a lifetime.
