Introduction:

The term webinar is short for Web-based Seminar, a presentation, workshop or

seminar that is transmitted over the Web (Internet).

Webinars are of generally two types depending on the interaction level between

the audience and the speaker.

When interaction is one-way, from the speaker to the audience with limited

audience interaction, such one-way broadcasts are perhaps more accurately called

webcasts.

Webinars can be more collaborative and include polling and question & answer

sessions to allow full participation between the audience and the presenter.

How to attend a Webinar?

Webinars can be paid or free, depending on their quality and purpose. Normally,

many consulting firms organizes FREE webinars to promote their brand by sharing

the knowledge.

You need to search online and subscribe for the relevant webinar.

Once subscribed, you’ll receive an invitation/confirmation.

To participate in Webinar, you just need a Computer/Laptop and an earphone (to

listen).

It’s much simpler to attend than you think.

Benefits/use:

You can have the indirect access to the best professionals of reputed consulting

organizations. Ernst & Young (E&Y) regularly comes out with FREE webinars on the

most relevant topics which are conducted by a Partner or Director level person.

You need not to travel from your office which saves huge amount of time.

You can record the Webinar for later use.

In many webinars, an option is given to download the presentation which is always

of an immense value and works as a reference for future.

You can also organize Webinars to promote your firm’s brand/services in the

market.

You can use Webinar to impart training to your employees who are not present in

your office.
