period of time in the past, but you don't do it any more.

• We also say used to to express a state that existed in the past but doesn't exist now. States are not actions. They are expressed using stative

verbs such as have, believe, know and like.USED TO + INFINITIVE

• The opposite of be used to is be not used to.

1. We can use ‘would’ to talk about repeated past actions.

2. Often either ‘would’ or ‘used to’ is possible. Both of these sentences are possible.

3. However, only ‘used to’ is possible when we talk about past states.
