n OVERVIEWWith our easy-to-use Studio24 Content Creator, you can upload video, upload images, or create your own new slides in SlideStudio. On the next pages we’ll walk you through the simple process of creating your own digital images.

n UPLOADING VIDEOIt’s easy to upload your own video. Studio24 accepts the following video formats:

• MPEG • AVI

• MPG • MOV

• MP4 • M4V

• FLV • WMV

The maximum file size is 200MB.

From the Dashboard, simply select “Upload Video.”

You will then select the video you want to upload. The progress of the upload will be noted on the page. It may take a while for large video files to transfer.

Your video will appear in the “My Uploads” area of your custom video library in the next 30 to 60 minutes.

n UPLOADING IMAGESBefore you log in to Works24, have your images ready. Studio24 accepts the following image formats:

• Windows Bitmap (BMP)

• Common Internet Images (GIF, JPEG, PNG)

• Desktop Publishing Images (TIFF)

• Windows Vector Files (WMF)

When in doubt, save as JPEG. Your source image should be as large as possible, preferably the same size as the final image (1280 pixels wide x 720 pixels tall). The color profile must be RGB, not CMYK.

n UPLOAD A FINISHED IMAGEOn the Studio24 Content Creator page (above right), click the button that reads, “Upload Image.”

You will be prompted to name your image.

Click “Browse” to find the image saved on your computer. Select it and click “Open.”

If necessary, Studio24 will resize the image to fit your video player screen. You have two options:

Stretch to fill the screen

• This may alter the proportions of the image, stretching it horizontally or vertically to fit.

• Recommended for rate cards and pre-produced ads.

Keep image proportional

• Similar to “letterboxing,” the image will retain its original proportions.

• Recommended for photos and other informal content.

After making your selections, click “Upload.” You will be redirected to the Studio24 page, and your new image will appear in the top row. These images will be found in the “My Uploads” category of your Custom Library.

When you are done, close out the Studio 24 Content Creator window. There is a “Close this window” link at the bottom of the page, or just click the “X” in the top right corner of your window.

The Works24 home page will still be open in your original browser window, so you can immediately incorporate your new image into a video production.

n EDITOR OPTIONS

Save slide to server

Option 1: Save to My Image Library Save the slide that will appear in your library for you to add to your video production.

Option 2: Save to My Templates Save a template and you can use it again at a later date to create similar slides. (For example, if it is a recurring event, such as Employee of the Month.)

Download your slide as an image

This will save a JPEG of the slide to your computer. This is handy if you want to use it somewhere besides your Works24 digital video screen, such as in a PowerPoint presentation or Word document.

Add straight line, rectangle or circle

The line or shape will appear on the canvas, along with a tool palette that will allow you to adjust the size, color, placement and more. (See Page 8 for more about this.)

Add text

Click this button to start a new text box. A palette will appear that will allow you to change the typeface, size and more. (See Page 9 for more about formatting text.)

Add an image

This allows you to place an image from the image libraries or your computer on the slide. Simply drag and drop the image from the library, or click “choose” to pick an image from your computer. A palette will appear to allow you to adjust the size and placement.

Change your slide background

You have three options for your background:

1. Solid color — Click the color box to choose from a palette of colors.

2. An image from the background library — Just click the image you want to use.

3. Your own image — Click the “Browse” button to select an image from your computer. See Page 3 for acceptable image formats.

n TIPS• For easy readability, go with large type and short phrases.

• Contrast is also important for readability. Use white on darker backgrounds and black on light backgrounds.

• Avoid backgrounds with small, busy patterns.

• Use a mixture of fun/informational slides and promotional messages. Don’t forget that your objective is to cross-sell to your viewers!
