Introduction Office 365 ProPlus is one of the subscription service plans.

It is productivity software (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher,

Access and Skype for Business) that is installed on your desktop or laptop computer.

Office 365 ProPlus is a user-based service that allows people to access Office experiences on

up to 5 PCs or Macs and on their mobile devices.

It Includes

1. Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access, Skype for

Business)

2. Online Services

a. OneDrive for Business1TB

b. Office Online

c. Sway

Activating Office 365 ProPlus As part of the installation process, Office 365 ProPlus communicates with the Office Licensing Service

and the Activation and Validation Service to obtain and activate a product key.

Each day, or each time the user logs on to their computer, the computer connects to the Activation

and Validation Service to verify the license status and extend the product key.

As long as the computer can connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days, Office remains fully

functional.

If the computer goes offline for more than 30 days, Office enters reduced functionality mode until the

next time a connection can be made. To get Office fully functional again, usually a user can simply

connect to the Internet and let the Activation and Validation Service reactivate the installation

32-bit Office can be installed on 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems and 64-bit

Office can only be installed on 64-bit operating systems.

Add your users to Office 365 1. Go to http://portal.office.com

2. Sign in to Office 365 with your admin account.

3. Go to the Office 365 admin center.

4. Choose Users > Active Users. Choose as shown in the following figure.

5. On the Create new user account page fill the details and select appropriate license to user. (

Here you will get the O365 ProPlus License populated, select that license)

6. If you have more than one domain, be sure to select the right one for the person in the drop

down, as shown in the following figure.

7. Select option to auto-generate or manually create password

8. Type Email address of people to whom you want get copy of this users account information.

You can enter up to 5 email addresses separated by semi-colons, as shown in the following

figure.

9. Click Create

Note: There may be Two Scenarios:

1) You can create new users on O365 admin portal and then assign proPlus license.

In this document we will go with scenario 1.

2) You Can sync your existing Users to O365 using a Directory Sync server configuration.

This usually happens when customer is having a large scale business and

ready to procure a server for Directory Synchronization application.

Deploy O365 ProPlus for end users There are two basic ways that you can deploy Office 365 ProPlus in your organization:

A. Have users install Office 365 ProPlus directly from the Office 365 portal. (Online Installation)

B. Download the Office 365 ProPlus software to your local network and then deploy it to your users

(Offline Installation)

Online installation of an Office 365

1. Let the User (assigned with ProPlus License) Sign in to Office 365 portal , on the below URL

http://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx

2. On the Office page, select a Language, and then select version and click on Install.

When a user selects Install, Office 365 ProPlus is streamed down from the Internet and

installed on the user's local computer. The user has to remain connected to the Internet

during the installation. When the installation is complete, the user doesn't have to remain

connected to the Internet or signed in to the Office 365 portal.

3. At the bottom of the screen, select Run.

4. Click Run

5. Follow the prompts and accept the license agreement.

6. When you see "You're good to go," select All done.

After installing, you can start to use Word, Excel, and the other Office applications.

Thus, the admin can instruct the user to navigate through the URL given and download and

install the Office ProPlus setup by themselves.

Offline installation of an Office 365

To deploy Office 365 ProPlus from an on-premises location, such as a local network share, you'll

have to use the Office Deployment Tool to download the Office 365 ProPlus software from Office

365

1. Download the Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run from following link

2. Run officedeploymenttool_x86 -> click RUN

3. Accept License agreement > select Continue

4. Browse and define the location to extract files > Select OK

Here we have created a Folder as shown below

5. Select OK

6. Edit the Configuration.xml file

Open the configuration.xml file in a word editor. You will see the XML data

Edit following things:

“\\Server\Share\Office\” Path to represent where you want to download the Office

files. Example – “C:\users\admin\desktop\odt\”

If you are only installing Office Pro Plus, remove <Product ID=”VisioProRetail”> through

</Product> to remove Visio from the install. Then save your Configuration.xml file.

7. Download the media

Open a command window and change the directory to the location of your setup.exe file.

Next, run Setup.exe /download configuration.xml

8. The software will begin downloading to your machine. Once the software is downloaded, the

command window will return to the C:\ Prompt.

9. Install the software.

If you are installing on the same machine that you downloaded the software too, run the

following command to start the install: Setup.exe /configure configuration.xml

Download and install Office 2016 for Mac 1. Let the User Sign in to Office 365 portal using the below URL

http://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx

2. On the Software page, under Install Office 2016 for Mac, select Install to begin

downloading the installer package.

3. Once the download has completed, open Finder, go to Downloads, and double-

clickMicrosoft_Office_2016_Installer.pkg.

4. On the first installation screen, select Continue to begin the installation process.

5. Enter your Mac login password to complete the installation.

Set up Office 365 on your android device 1. Open Google Play Store.

2. Search for Microsoft Word > Select Install

3. Search for Microsoft Excel > Select Install

4. Search for Microsoft PowerPoint > Select Install

5. Search for Microsoft OneNote > Select Install

6. Search for Microsoft OneDrive > Select Install

7. Tap any Office app to open it. Swipe through the introduction, and select Sign In.

8. Sign in screen

9. Type your Password, and then select Sign in.

10. You might be prompted to add a Dropbox account. Select Connect to add it Now or Not now

if don't have one or you want to add one later.

Set up Office 365 on your iPhone 1. Open Apple App Store.

2. Search for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Install it

3. Tap any Office app to open it. Swipe through the introduction > Select Sign In

4. On the Sign in page enter your office 365 email address > Select Next

5. Type your Password, and then Select Sign in
