InTroduCTIon—

This guide is intended for all Videotron mobile customers, regardless of the mobile phone.

As a result, the commands and keys may differ depending on the device.

Also note that shortcuts are a quick and easy way to access the applications that you use frequently. on most mobile devices, you can program a key so that it gives you direct access to a given application.

if necessary, refer to your device’s user guide.

Note :

Depending on the device you are using, you will have access to different

versions of illico mobile:

enhanced version :

• on some devices, you will have access to a particularly user-friendly and powerful version, for an even more enhanced viewing experience thanks to an advanced and user-friendly interface.

Videotron portal :

• other devices allow you to access illico mobile through the Videotron

Portal. This platform is also very enjoyable to use and user-friendly.

To find out which version of illico mobile is supported by your device,

see the Mobile Device support section:

Note :

This section is intended for subscribers with a device that is compatible with

the enhanced version of illico mobile. To find out which version of illico mobile

is supported by your device, see the Mobile Device support section:

1. downloadIng and aCCessIng THe applICaTIona) downloading the application Note :

This step does not apply to all devices. Some devices that are compatible

with the enhanced version of illico mobile already come with this application.

in such a case, you do not have to download or install it. To find out which

version of illico mobile is supported by your device, see the Mobile Device

support section:


Downloading and installing the enhanced version of illico mobile when it is

compatible with your device but not already installed:

• When activating your Videotron mobile phone service, you will be sent a text message asking whether you would like to download illico mobile free of charge (roaming charges are extra). This message will include a link that you can click on. This will download the application to your mobile phone.

• if you accidentally delete this message, you can also download the illico mobile application by accessing the Videotron Store from your computer

Go to mobilestore.videotron.com• Followtheon-screeninstructionstodownloadtheapplication.Atext

message containing a download link will be sent to your mobile phone. once you have received this message, click the download link. The application will be automatically downloaded to your mobile phone.

illico mobile is an optional Videotron mobile phone service that allows you to view your favourite television shows and a wide choice of films and videos on your mobile phone screen anywhere and at any time, while enjoying exceptional image and sound quality.

• You can also download the illico mobile application from the Videotron Portal, which can be accessed from most mobile phones.

To access the Videotron Portal, go to the Mobile Device support section:


• on the Videotron Portal home page, click illico mobile in the navigation menu.

• A page will be displayed prompting you to download the illico mobile application.

• click download application, followed by confirm.

• Wait while the application downloads. once a message is displayed confirming that the download is finished, you can then launch the illico mobile application.

Note :

Fordevicesthatarecompatiblewiththeenhancedversionofillico mobile,

the Videotron Portal can only be used for downloading (see the section

“Accessing the enhanced version of illico mobile”).

b) Accessing the enhanced version of illico mobile

if your device is compatible with the enhanced version of illico mobile, refer to the interactive demonstration on your device for the procedure used to access it. This interactive demonstration can be accessed through the section on your device under Mobile Device support section at


if you are using the Videotron Portal to access illico mobile (past the step on downloading the application), you will not be able to access the enhanced version of illico mobile but rather the version that can be accessed via the Videotron Portal.

2. usIng IllICo MobIle

Use your mobile device’s navigation icon to browse through illico mobile. The name of the selected option (“TV Guide,” “channels,” etc.) is displayed at the bottom of the screen. make your selection to launch the option.

a) TV listing

This page lists all the available television channels in illico mobile as well as the shows currently being broadcast and those that are scheduled.

Note :

You must be subscribed to the cable service and to illico mobile/channels

to access this application. otherwise, the channels will be listed in grey and

you will not be able to select them.

click the title of the show you would like to watch under Now to begin viewing.

• Viewing a show

While viewing a show, you can adjust the volume, stop viewing, and switch to full-screen viewing at any time using the toolbar located under the viewing area.

Viewing toolbar:

click to lower the volume during viewing.

click to turn up the volume during viewing.

click to stop viewing the show.

click to view the selected content in full-screen mode. To return to normal viewing, press any key or touch your screen during viewing.

• The next scheduled shows on each channel are found under the Next tab.

• Foramoredetailedscheduleofaparticularchannel,selectoptions on the lower left-hand side of the screen, followed by more information. This will give you the complete schedule of shows on the selected channel.

b) channels This page lists the TV channels available through illico mobile.

Note :

You must be subscribed to the cable service and to illico mobile/channels to

access this application. otherwise, the channels will be listed in grey and you

will not be able to select them.

click a channel to view the show currently being broadcast. Wait for the video

to buffer. To stop viewing, press the stop button in the viewing toolbar.

You can change channels during viewing. The channels you subscribe to

are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Select the desired channel to view

the program currently being broadcast on the channel.

c) illico on demand The illico On Demand service features a wide choice of films and videos

grouped by category. You can order and view this contents at any time over a predetermined rental period for an outstanding entertainment experience.

• ordering a film or video You can order one or more films that you can watch alternately during the set

rental period.

• choose a category by clicking on it.

• click on the film or video you would like to watch.

• You have been redirected to the order page, which displays the title, price and synopsis of the chosen film.

• When you click order, a purchase confirmation message is displayed.

• Press Yes if you wish to continue or No to go back to the previous screen. You can start watching the film as soon as you press Yes.

Note :

The cost of the film rental will be charged to your Videotron account. The

rental is valid for a predetermined period (information provided in the film’s

description), during which time you can watch the film, pause it, and resume

watching it at a later time. At the end of the rental period, you will no longer be

able to watch the film, unless you order it again.

• Viewing a film or video While viewing a film or video, you can adjust the volume, pause, stop the viewing, and switch to full-screen mode at any time using the toolbar located under the viewing area.

Film or video viewing toolbar

click to lower the volume during viewing.

click here to stop viewing. You can resume viewing at a later time. The

film will start up where you left off.

click here to pause viewing. To start up the film again, click the Play icon, which will have automatically replaced the Pause icon.

click to view the film in full-screen mode. To return to normal viewing, press any key during viewing.

• resume viewing This option allows you to resume viewing a video where you paused

it during the rental period that applies to your illico on demand purchase. Selecting this option displays the list of films that have been ordered and for which the rental period is still valid.

click on the title of the video that you would like to resume viewing.

• search You can do a search at any time using keywords (example: film title, actor’s name) by selecting search under “Settings”.

Note : This section is intended for customers with a device that is not compatible with the enhanced version of illico mobile. These customers can access the illico mobile service through the Videotron Portal on their mobile phone. Note

that some devices do not support access to the Videotron Portal. To find out

which version of illico mobile is supported by your device,

see the Devices Mobile support section:

• on the Videotron Portal home page, click on illico mobile in the navigation menu; this will automatically redirect you to illico mobile.

2. usIng IllICo MobIle VIa THe VIdeoTron proTal

Use your mobile device’s navigation icons to browse through illico mobile. The name of the selected option (“TV Guide,” “channels,” etc.) is displayed at the bottom of the screen. make your selection to launch the option.

a) TV Guide This page lists all the TV channels available through illico mobile as well as the

Select the show you would like to watch under the Now tab. Select a channel to view the show currently being broadcast.

The Now tab lists the shows currently being broadcast on each channel.

The next scheduled shows on each channel are found under the Next tab.

This page lists the TV channels available through illico mobile.

You can access the video stream by clicking, pressing or selecting the

channel.

• Press confirm if you wish to continue or cancel to go back to the previous screen. You can start watching the film as soon as you click confirm.

You can pause the film, stop it, or switch to full-screen mode at any time while viewing the film by clicking the options tab under the viewing area.

• resume watching

This option allows you to resume viewing a film or video. Selecting this option displays the list of films that have been ordered and for which the rental period is still valid. click on the title of the film that you would like to resume viewing.

• search

You can run a search at any time using keywords (example: film title, actor’s name) in the illico On Demand section.

raTe and alerTs —

ClarIfICaTIon of CerTaIn IllICo MobIle bIllIng ConCepTs

The concept of airtime does not exist in the illico mobile world. Viewing time is not associated with airtime. Therefore, viewing time is not deducted from your airtime package minutes.

browsing the Videotron Portal home page, which allows you to access illico mobile (for devices not equipped with the enhanced version of illico mobile), is billed on a per-use basis (data transmission) or deducted from your data add-on if you have subscribed to one of our Internet on your mobile add-ons. However, as soon as you enter the illico mobile world, you are no longer billed for data transmission. Therefore, data transmission associated with the illico mobile service is free of charge. When you use illico mobile, your usage is not counted against your data allotment and you are not billed on a per-use basis.

CHannels (MonTHlY opTIon on subsCrIpTIon)

a) rates

You must be subscribed to illico tv to have access to illico mobile/channels. You’ll have access to the channels to which you’ve subscribed to illico tv that are available on illico mobile. in addition, you can add to your subscription channels that are available for the mobile phone. They are offered as a flat monthly fee. You must then subscribe to an add-on of viewing hours so that you can watch your favourite television shows available on your mobile phone.

The fee is determined based on the viewing duration in minutes (rounded off to the higher minute). if you exceed the planned viewing time, you have access to an additional 60 minutes of viewing and will be charged accordingly.

This subscription plan also entitles you to access videos on demand at no cost. The viewing time for these free videos is deducted against your viewing add-on.

b) Alerts

To allow you to monitor your viewing time, you will be sent two text messages, the first stating that you will soon be reaching the allotted viewing time in your add-on, and the second that you have used up the allotted time and are now being billed on a per-use basis.

Note :

These alerts may have been sent to you after you have used up the allotted

time in your add-on if you are near the limit or have exceeded it while you

were watching a film or video.

IllICo on deMand (per-use basIs)

All Videotron mobile phone subscribers, whether subscribed to the illico mobile/channels service or not, have access to illico On Demand.Filmsandvideos part of the illico On Demand service are charged on a per-use basis and are available for a predetermined period when dealing with paid content.
