INTRODUCTION
Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the Colorful Noise module.
Colorful Noise is a Block module for use with Native Instruments’ Reaktor Blocks Modular System.
A Noise Generator like no other, Colorful Noise can do much more than a standard Noise Generator,Earth Shaking Noise Sweeps, Modulated Noise, Tuned Noise, Chiptune Style Noise and Random LFOSpeed Noise are so easy to achieve with Colorful Noise that you won’t believe your ears. Colorful Noisealso comes with a Builtin Output VCA, making the setup of complex patches fast and easy.

CHAPTER 3 - CONNECTIONS AND INTERFACE
4
Colorful Noise is a Complex Noise Generator, at it's core it features a White Noise Generator which isrouted to two independent circuits, these two circuits pass through a Crossfader and finally through anOutput VCA.
The first circuit pass the White Noise through a S&H circuit that is Clocked by the Audio Sample Rate, this circuit is controlled by the S&H switch, the COLOR knob and the CV1 Modulation Input.
The second circuit features a Keyboard Tracking Oscillator that serves as the Clock Source for a secondS&H circuit, this circuit is controlled by the Pitch Input, the Reset Input, the FINE knob, the COARSEknob, the RANGE switch and the CV2 Modulation Input.
The two independent circuits then travel through a Crossfader which is controlled by the KBD knob.
Finally the mixed signal arrives at the Output VCA which is controlled by the VCA switch, the LEVELknob, the MUTE switch and the CV3 Modulation Input.
Connections
Audio Output
Pitch Input of the Keyboard TrackingOscillator. An increase of 0.1 equals
a 1 octave increase in Pitch
Reset Input of the Keyboard TrackingOscillator. A positive Zero Crossing at
this Input will Reset the KeyboardTracking Oscillator
CV1 - Color Modulation Input
CV2 - Pitch Modulation Input
CV3 - VCA Modulation Input

Controls
Sets the S&H Clock Rate, chooseSlow (SLW) for LFO Range Noise
Generation, choose Fast (FST) forAudio Range Noise Generation. InFast mode the S&H is clocked by
the Audio Sample Rate while inSlow mode the S&H is clocked bythe Audio Sample Rate divided by
320. The Division Factor of the S&HClock is set by the COLOR knob
Crossfades between the S&H and theKeyboard Tracking circuits, when set to
0 the COLOR knob controls the FrequencyRange of the Noise Generator, when set to100 The Pitch Input controls the Frequency
Range of the Noise Generator
Sets the Division Factor ofthe S&H Clock in Integers
Controls the amount of CV1Modulation that is applied to the
S&H Clock
Sets the Range of the CV2 Modulation Input.Choose Narrow (NRW) to set the amount ofmodulation in Cents, choose Wide (WDE) toset the amount of modulation in Semitones Controls the amount of CV2 Modulation that is applied
to the Pitch of the Keyboard Tracking Oscillator
Coarse Tune of the Keyboard TrackingOscillator in Semitones
Fine Tune of the Keyboard TrackingOscillator in Cents
Selects between Exponentialand Linear VCA Curves
Controls the Output Levelof the VCA
Controls the amount of CV3Modulation that is applied tothe VCA
Mute all Outputs

Mouse Areas, Value Display and Modulation Indicators
Unified Value Display, the Controls on the Colorful Noise GUIreport their current Status to this DisplayThe areas marked in red are
Mouse Areas, they activate theValue Display for the selectedControl, everytime a Knob orSwitch is changed the Value
Display automatically updatesthe Status of the Control, but
sometimes you may want checkthe Status of a Control withoutchanging it’s current position,
the Mouse Areas serve thispurpose
The white dots that circlearound the Color, Coarse andLevel knobs are ModulationIndicators, they move awayfrom the knobs indicatorsdepending on how the CV1,CV2 and CV3 Inputs are set.
General Controls
To set a Knob or Switch back to it’s Default Position, control+click the desired Knob or Switch and select“Set to Default” from the drop down menu. Double-clicking a Knob will also set it back to it’s DefaultPosition.
To set a Knob or Switch to respond to a specific MIDI Continuous Controller, control+click the desiredKnob or Switch and select “MIDI & OSC Learn” from the drop down menu, then move the desired MIDIController to assign.
