Preface Thank you very much for purchasing our MP3 player! To use your player, please read the User’s Manual supplied along with the player where you can obtain product introduction, usage, operating method and other information. To gain a better understanding of the product, please read the data we provide before using the player.

If any problems occur during your use of the product, please contact your local vendor. Thank you for your support and cooperation! We bear no responsibility for any damage or loss of personal data due to misuse of software and/or hardware, damage to the player caused by human factors, replacement of battery or other unforeseen circumstances. Precautions

� If you don’t use the player for a long time, please switch it to OFF. � Do not use the player under extremely hot, cold, dusty or wet environments. � Striking, dropping, or severe jolts to the unit may cause physical damage, battery

loosening, or other hardware damage. � Please charge the player under the following conditions:

� The battery icon shows in normal operation with low battery prompt. � The player turns off automatically. � There is no response when pressing keys and the battery icon shows .

� Static electricity may cause damage to interior hardware of the player. � Do not disconnect the player while formatting, uploading, or downloading files, as it

may cause program errors, or cause the unit to not power on.. � When the player is used as a removable hard disk, you should store files following

correct file management methods. We are not liable for any data loss or damage.

� Note: The battery level may change during use. This is because of electric quantity vibration caused by power consumption during use. It will not affect normal use of the player.

Appearance and Key Description

1. ON/OFF: Power switch. 2. PLAY: Turn on/off key, play, and pause. 3. MODE: Selection and confirmation of mode and menu functions. 4. VOL: Volume adjustment. 5. BACK key: Selection of the previous file or menu, volume down and rewind. 6. FORWARD key: Selection of the next file or menu, volume up and fast

forward. 7. MIC: Audio source port for built-in voice recording. 8. Headset port: Jack for earphone line input and antenna for FM radio. 9. USB/Port: USB port.

Operations/Functions

Charging and Precautions

(1) If you don’t use the player for a long time, please charge and use the unit at least once a month to prevent impact to the life of lithium battery caused by disuse of the ion cells.

(2) The player can be charged by computer USB and the charger supplied along with the player. Before charging the player, please switch the power to ON. It can be charged while connected to the computer USB or charger. To extend the life of the player, we suggest that you charge the player only after the battery power is used up for the first three times.

(3) When charging with the charger supplied along with the player, the player will be powered on automatically and show the charge status (battery icon changes continuously) with red and green lights on the charger staying lit (red light is power indicator and green light is charge indicator). When the battery is fully charged, the green indicator light will go out.

I. Power On/OFF (1) If the power switch is OFF, please set the power switch to ON. (2) Press and hold PLAY while powered off to power on. (3) Press and hold PLAY while powered on to power off.

II. Play Music 1. In the main menu, select “MUSIC” using or , the interface shown below will appear:

Press MODE to confirm and enter “MUSIC” mode. Press PLAY to play the current

track. The screen will display the following information: name and location of the current music, played time, total time of the current music, play mode, sound effect, volume, music ID information and format of the music. In play mode, press PLAY to pause and again to continue playing.

NOTE: Lyric display requires corresponding lyric files (*.Lrc) to be saved in the player.

2. Music Selection

While the track is paused, press M to enter the files list, and select the music you want to play by pressing or . Press PLAY to start playing the music you selected; Pressing MODE in music files list mode will return to its parent directory.

3. Music Mode menu a) While music is playing, press MODE to enter the music mode menu. You can

adjust the repeat mode, equalizer, SRS WOW mode, Tempo, replay mode, and replay gap in this menu. Press and hold MODE to return to the main menu.

4. Volume Adjustment

While music is playing or paused, press VOL to enter volume adjustment mode. and are used to decrease or increase volume within 0-31.Press or to decrease or increase volume step by step, and press & hold or to decrease and increase volume continuously. Press VOL again to exit volume adjustment mode.

5．Fast Forward / Rewind While the music or voice recording is playing, press to skip to the next track or

press & hold to fast forward the current track; press to skip to the previous track and press & hold to rewind the current track. III. Play movies 1. In the main menu, use or to select “MOVIE” mode and press MODE to enter movie mode.

2. In movie mode, press MODE to enter the video selection screen, press or to select the video file you want to play; press PLAY to start playing.

3. While the movie is playing, press & hold or to rewind or fast forward and press

or to switch between video files backward and forward. Pause the movie and press VOL to enter volume adjustment; press or to decrease or increase volume.

4. While playing, press PLAY to pause and press again to continue. 5. Pause the movie, and press MODE to return to the “VIDEO” main menu. 6. Movie files must be saved at 208x176 resolution for optimum viewing

Online Mode-Allows you to choose whether the device will be recognized as a multi-drive, a single drive, or and encrypted drive by your computer. Memory Info-Shows how much system memory has been used. Firmware version-Displays the current firmware version. Firmware upgrade- This mode is set when you update the firmware.

Expansion: Your OASIS supports a mini SD card up to 2GB size. While paused or stopped in Music mode, Movie mode, or in the picture or text viewers, briefly press MODE key to enter the mode’s respective menu. While there, press to select the SD card directory and press MODE to confirm. The mode you are in (music, movie, picture, text) will read the contents of the card.

X. Video Conversion Tool

1. Summary

This tool is used to convert media files to .AMV format which can be played on

the Oasis.

1.1 The following video types can be converted:

1): *.avi

2): *.asf, *.wmv

3): *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.dat

4): *.rm. *.ram, *.rmvb;

5): *.mov

6): *.vob;

7): *.swf;

8) *.AMV.

1.2 Operating Systems supported:

Windows98, Windows Me, Windows2000, Windows XP. DirectX 9.0 or above.

2. Installing software

The AMV Conversion Tool has two ways to install:

2.1 Install automatically

Start the PC, and after entering Windows, put the CD of the tool into the CDROM, setup

will run automatically.

2.2 Install manually

If the PC did not auto-run:

2.2.1 First, double click the Setup.exe file at the root of CD.

After installation is completed, "MP3 Player Utilities" can be started from the [start]-

[program] menu. Select the "AMV Convert Tool" software.

3. Using the software

3.1 Adding a media file

After starting, Click "add file" button and select a video file that needs to be

converted.

3.3 Play the media file

This conversion tool allows you to play a media file after converting.

Right click selected file, and click "play" button play this file.

4. Converting the file

In the status bar, on the left side of each media file has a check box and sequence number.

The check boxes are used for conversion of several media files at once. Only checked

box files will be converted.

4.1 Choose the file that needs to be converted

The media file selected in 3.1 will be visible in the list at the lower part of the screen.

Several media files can be selected and be added to the list. These files will be converted

once the convert button is pushed.

4.2 Select destination

The default save path is C:\.Before converting, Click the "output file" button and

select where the converted files need to be saved.

4.3 Set Parameters

There are two ways to set parameters for converted files:

A. select one or more media files, then click on the button in the "output

information" box

B. select one or more media files, then right click, and select "setting"

4.3.1 Fragment selection

Cut source video fragment allows you to convert only part of a file. You will need to set

the start and end positions.

4.3.1.1 Fragment selection with the property settings

First choose the "cut source video fragment" selection box, choosing video start time

point and end time point. Input the desired start and stop time.

The above example: Selection of the current media files from 1 min 10 sec to 3 min 20

sec.

If "cut source video fragment" is not selected, the whole media file will be converted.

4.3.1.2. Fragment selection during playback

During playback the starting point and end point can also be selected with the

corresponding "Start position" and "End position" buttons.

Press the start position button, at the S.Time column will show the selected beginning

point time.

Press the end position button, at the E.Time column will show the selected point end

time.

When a fragment is chosen, the selected points will be indicated: Start time, end time,

fragment time, total time.

If you want to cancel the fragment intercept, you can click the "cancel choice" button.

4.3.2 Choosing video resolution of AMV file

Choose between 208*176 and 160*120 pixels. Please choose the correct resolution

depending on your MP3 Player.

NOTE- The OASIS requires 208x176 for optimum viewing

4.3.3 Video Convert

There are 6 kinds of conversion options: Normal, Up/Down (turns movie upside down),

Left/Right (left side of the video will be on the right side), Up/Down-Left/Right (movie

will be upside down and reversed), Deasil 90(rotates movie 90 degrees clockwise) and

Anticlock wise 90(rotates movie 90 degrees counterclockwise). The default choice is

Normal; the interface is as follow the picture:

4.3.4 Image quality

There are three kinds of image quality: high, middle and low.

4.3.8 Miscellaneous setting:

4.3.8.1 Overwrite file

Overwrite file replaces the current file with the newly converted AMV file.

4.3.8.2 Play after converting

Play after converting means AMV Player begins playing AMV files automatically after

conversion.

In the Miscellaneous settings, we suggest using the default setting.

4.4 Convert files

After making adjustments, make sure the check box has been selected for files you want

to convert. Click the convert button in the tool interface, to begin converting

all files one by one in order. The file status will change from "unconverted" to "success”.

After conversion is complete, the AMV Player will play the AMV file automatically.

While playing the file, right click on the image, and choose property to check the video

width, height and frame per second etc.

XI. Computer Communication 1. Connect the MP3 player to a working USB port

2. When the unit is connected to your computer, it will create a gray and green icon in the system tray (lower right hand corner of your desktop). The icon will be called safely remove hardware.

3. Go to the “My Computer” section of your computer. In there you will find a section called “devices with removable storage”

4. Locate the drive created by the unit, generally just called Removable Disk, with a letter in Parenthesis. Drive letters vary depending on your system configuration

5. Open the drive by either double left clicking on the drive itself, or by right clicking, and left clicking on the open option on the menu

6. Locate the music stored on your computer. Generally this is stored in the “My Music” folder of your computer. NOTE: if you are unable to locate the music on your computer, click on start, search, files and folders, then search for *.MP3, *.WMA

7. Once you have located the song files, you can right click on the song itself, and select “copy”. Open the removable disk drive, right click on in the empty space, and select Paste. This will transfer the song on to your MP3 player

8. Repeat step 7 for as many songs as you want to copy on to the unit.
