Schoenhofer Family
In 1904 the family came to St. Paul from Eudora by wagon to the farm John had purchased from Schneiders one and one-half miles north of St. Francis Church on the west side of the road, just north of the former Katy railroad tracks. George, their son, was 16 at the time and he walked the whole distance, herding the family's three cows (sources of text and photos unknown).
