Whatskillsdoesthisbadgerepresent?
The skills ‘participate’ badges represent reflect the event or activity the badge hasbeen earned for. Doesitexpire?
To earn a participate badge, earners would need to attend and participate in aspecified event or activity. Badges criteria can be based purely on attendance ordesigned with interactive tasks. Proactive tasks could include uploading evidenceof participation to help earners capture their experience. Reflective tasks couldhelp consolidate learning gained through an event or activity.
Behaviours
Whatbehaviourdoesthebadgeencourage?
A participate badge helps earner ’s feel valued through the work they havecompleted at an event or during an activity. This positive affirmation helps to buildself-esteem and confidence for earners. A participate badge can help motivatepeople to attend events or participate in activities if it is seen to connect to otheropportunities.
