Using SAP Kernel 7.20 for systems < 7.20 at a glance
This Guide gives you a short excerpt how to replace Kernels 7.00, 7.01, 7.10, 7.11 with 7.20
It is not yet released for Java and Dual-Stack systems with release 7.00 or 7.01.
Update kernel files
All needed actions to backup old kernel and replace files are implemented in kernelinst script.
Run M:\kernelinst.cmd 720
Delete old syslog
Delete all files in F:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\log
Do not delete directories!
Add parameters to DEFAULT.PFL
rdisp/wp_no_restricted = 0 rdisp/configurable_wp_no = 0 rdisp/dynamic_wp_check = FALSE
rslg/new_layout = 9
Start SAP
Nothing to explain
Import profiles
RZ10
Run SGEN
Recompile all existing loads.
