.وجل ه عزه قضاء من اللذلك كل وأن Bishr ibn Mūsá said that al-Ḥumaydī informed us with his statement that: The Sunnah according to us is for someone to believe in Qadr (divine predestination), both the good of it and bad of it; whatever is sweet from it as well as what is our from it; and one should know that whatever afflicts an individual would never have missed him and likewise whatever missed him would never have afflicted him. All of that is from what Allāh the Mighty and Majestic has decreed.

فع قـول إال بعمل، وال عمـل وقــول إال ب نيـة، وال وأن اإلميان قـول وعمل، يزيد ويـنـقص، وال يـنـ قـول وعمل ونية إال بسنة.

And Īmān (faith) consists of speech & action; it increases and decreases and no speech is of any benefit without action. And no action and speech is of any benefit without the proper intention. And no speech, action or intention is of any benefit if it is upon other than the Sunnah.

And mercy is to be shown to all of the companions of Muḥammad (�) since Allāh the Mighty and Majestic says: “…And those who

And more than one individual has narrated to us from Mālik ibn Anas that he said: Allāh establishes who should receive the fayʾ when He says: ‘For the poor emigrants who were expelled from

their homes and wealth, seeking bounty from Allāhāhāhāh and His pleasure while supporting Allāhāhāhāh and His Messenger. They are the ones who are truthful.’ [Sūrah alūrah alūrah alūrah al­ḤashrḤashrḤashrḤashr 59:8] Then He says: ‘And those who came after them, saying: ‘Our Lord, forgive us

and our brothers who preceded us in faith…’ [Sūrah alūrah alūrah alūrah al­ḤashrḤashrḤashrḤashr

عـت سـفيان يـقـول : القـرآن كـالم اللـه، ومـن قـال خملـوق؛ فـهـو مبتـدع، مل والقرآن كالم اللـه، مس .نسمع أحدا يـقول هذا

And the Qurʾān is the speech of Allāh. I heard Sufyān say: “The Qurʾān is the speech of Allāh and whoever says that it is created is an innovator in the religion. We have not heard anyone speak of this.”

شىء.And I heard Sufyān say: “Īmān (faith) consists of speech & action and it increases and decreases.” Then his brother, Ibrāhīm ibn ʿUyaynah said to him: “O Abū Muḥammad, do not say that it decreases.” Then he became angry and said: “Shut up young man; [it decreases] until nothing left remains.”

the Qurʾān and the ḥadīth have explicitly mentioned like: “And

the Jews say that the Hand of Allāh is bound; but bound are āh is bound; but bound are āh is bound; but bound are āh is bound; but bound are their hands…” [Sūrah alūrah alūrah alūrah al­Māāāāʾidahʾidahʾidahʾidah 5:64] And like: “And the heavens will be folded up within His Right Hand…” [Sūrah alūrah alūrah alūrah al­Zumar 39:67] And whatever else is similar to this from the Qurʾān and the ḥadīth concerning which we do not add anything, or explain it away; we stop wherever the Qurʾān and the Sunnah stops. And so we say: “The Most Merciful is above the throne… ”

ا الكفر ىف تـرك اخلمس الـىت قـال رسـول اللـه صـلى اللـه نوب، إمن عليـه وال تكفري بشىء من الذ ــدا رســول اللــه « وســلم: حمم ــه وأنالل وإقــام بــىن اإلســالم علــى مخــس: شــهادة أن ال إلــه إال ،

».الصالة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وصوم رمضان، وحج البـيت And there is no ascription of disbelief due to any of the sins. Rather, disbelief occurs with the abandonment of the five things which the Messenger of Allāh mentioned [in his statement]: “Islām was established upon five [pillars]: Bearing witness that nothing is deserving of worship other than Allāh, and that Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; and the establishment of the prayer, the offering of the obligatory charity (Zakāh), fasting of the month of Ramaḍān, and the performing the pilgrimage (Ḥajj) to the house [of Allāh].” [Extracted by al-Bukhārī and Muslim]

ه ال يـؤخومل يصم؛ ألن د ومل يصلها فال تـناظر تاركها: من مل يـتشه ر فأما ثالث منـ، اة شىء من هذا عن وقته، وال جيزئ من قضاه بـعد تـفريطه فيه عامدا عن وقته. فأما الزك

فمىت ما أداها أجزأت عنه، وكان آمثا ىف احلبس. As for three of them, then the one who abandons them should not be debated. The one who does not bear witness [to the testifications of faith] nor does he pray or fast; because these things should not be delayed passed their respective times. And the one who attempts to make them up will not be rewarded for making them up after his intentional negligence concerning them and delaying them beyond their appropriate times. As for the obligatory charity (Zakāh), then whenever it is distributed it is rewarded while the one who withholds it is sinful.”

وجب عليه، وال جيب عليه ىف عامه ذلك - وأما احلج؛ فمن وجب عليه ووجد السبيل إليه اه كما ك حىتيا، ومل يكن آمثا ىف تأخريه، إذا أداه كان مؤدمىت أد ان آمثا ال يكون له منه بد

يهم. ىف الزكاة؛ ألن الزكاة حق لمسلمني مساكني حبسه عليهم، فكان آمثا حىت وصل إل And as for the Ḥajj, then whoever it is obligatory upon who has the means to perform it must perform it. And he isn’t obligated to perform it that specific year until it there is nothing to prohibit him such that whenever he performs it he then fulfills this obligation and he is not considered sinful for delaying it if he performs it as opposed to the matter of obligatory charity (Zakāh). This is because the obligatory charity (Zakāh) is the right of the poor Muslims that is withheld. So the individual who does this is sinful until his charity reaches them.

نه وبـني ربه إذا أداه فـقد أدى، وإن هـو مـات وهـو واجـد مسـ تطيع ومل وأما احلج فكان فيما بـيــــوا عنـــه، ونـرجـــو أن ـــب ألهلـــه أن حيج نـيا أن حيـــج، وجي جعـــة إىل الـــدســـأل الر يكـــون ذلـــك حيــج

مؤديا عنه، كما لو كان عليه دين فـقضى عنه بـعد موته.As for the Ḥajj, then it is between the individual and his Lord. So once he has performed it, then he [is considered to have] performed it. And if he were to die while in a state where he had the provisions, and was able to perform the Ḥajj, yet he failed to do so, he will ask to be returned to the worldly life in order to perform it. And it will then become obligatory upon his family to satisfy this obligation for him. And we hope that this would be accepted on his behalf just as though it were a debt upon him that was settled after his death.
