This research aimed at finding out whether or not utilizing edmodo as unit of
CALL motivate students in learning English at SMAN 11 Makassar. The research
method and the data collected in this research used descri!tive "uantitative. The
!o!ulation of this research were #1$ students from the third %ear. The !artici!ants
of this research were #& students of '(( e)act $ academic %ear &*1$+&*1,. This
research used the !ur!osive sam!ling techni"ue in which one class was taken as asam!le from - classes. To get the data of this research the writer used a
"uestionnaire. uestionnaire for students were used to e)!ress and verif% the
research "uestions.. (t can /e seen from ta/le # the rate of students0 motivation.
The result indicates that ,&$ of the students are 2ver% motivated3 ,-4$
students are 2motivated3 &$ student 2undecided3 * student 2unmotivated3
and * student 2ver% unmotivated3.(t can /e conluded that the third %ears of the
students of SMAN 11 Makassar are motivated in learning English through
edmodo.
