Maglev–Design and Construction

You must create a working Maglev model to win the companies latest contract bid proposal. The contract is for a Magnetic Levitation vehicle to be used in the high-

speed transportation of people. In order to win the bid contest you must design, construct, test and communicate your

finding to the FRA

Constraints are important

1. Sled size2. Cabin size3. One Motor/ Propeller4. Electricity comes from

the guide way5. Motor must be mounted securely 6. Information must be

recorded and communicated effectively

Maglev–Displaying data

“My data shows that there was an increase of success in my trials. I started off poorly and

made many modifications. Each modification after trail #5 increased in distance. I finished my project be consistently getting in the mid-

80’s for distance.”
