Reminder:This Sunday, Feb 2, is Cereal Sunday! Every first Sunday of the month wetake a collection of dry cereal items for donation to Caritas of Waco to help stock their pantry for

sharing with the community. Did you know that Texas has a food insecurity rate higher than thenational average at 18.4 percent? That means that almost 1 out of every 5 people are food insecureConsider bringing a box or two of breakfast cereal with you to fellowship this Sunday and we can doour part to battle hunger.

UUFW News www.uuwaco.orgFirst Sundays Adult RE.In 2014, Bruce Allen is going to lead Adult RE from 9:45am to 10:40am onthe first Sunday of each month in 2014. We will meet in our newly refurbished sofa room. We aregoing to start by using Marcus Borg's Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time to consider themeaning of the life of Jesus of Nazareth (as understood from Dr. Borg's perspective on the historicaJesus, rather than from the perspective of the Christ of faith from a traditional Christian perspective).Of course, the goal of this venture is to see how a fresh perspective on Jesus relates to and possiblyenriches each of our unique UU faith journeys. For those with the leisure to read, reading the first 3 or4 chapters should be far enough in the book for the first meeting. (It is a quick read). At the beginningof each class, the main points of the book relevant to the discussion that day will be very brieflysummarized. So whether attendees read the material or not, everyone can fully participate in thediscussion that day. Each discussion will be framed in a self contained manner, so that if folks missone Sunday, they will not feel lost at the next meeting. Our first meeting will be on February 2

    nd. If

you have any questions, please email Bruce Allen [email protected].

February 1.Guest at Your Table kicks off this Sunday, Feb 1. It is an annual tradition in which weinvite a "guest" at our home tables for four weeks, and donate the cost of their "meal" daily to theUUSC drive. Each Sunday we learn about one person with whom UUSC is working. This year, weare featuring people who have empowered others to realize their human rights. Let's share ourblessings with them.

UUFW RIGHT RELATIONSThe members of UUWaco covenant to be in right relations with one another, and our true covenant is

shown by our actions. Please feel free to speak with a board member if you have concerns about theFellowship. If your concern involves activities which are potentially unsafe or illegal, please contact amember of the Board immediately.Need help resolving a conflict at UU?

    1. First, try to work it out respectfully with the person(s) in question.

    2. If that fails, report the issue to the team lead in charge of the area ( e.g., religious education,

    social action, etc.).

    3. If the conflict is still unresolved, report it to any member of the Board and request resolution via

    the Right Relations Team.

    4. The Board will create an ad hoc Right Relations Team (generally comprised of a small selection

of non-conflicted Board members) to review and respond to the issues raised. Non-boardmembers and/or outside persons may be included as appropriate.

    5. When possible, every effort will be made to create a Right Relations team agreeable to all

    parties.
