GENERAL SPORTS INFORMATION

Baseball: Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. Visiting team dugout is located on the 3rd base side. Umpires are contracted by WIAC. UWSP Baseball uses Wilson 1001SST baseballs as its game ball. Practice schedule for 12 p.m. game is:10:00-10:40 a.m. ...................... Women’s Basketball: UWSP will wear gold or white uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. Visiting team bench is located right of score table facing the floor. Officials are contracted by WIAC. UWSP Basketball uses Wilson Solution as its game ball. Videotaping of games is available behind the scorer’s table in Berg Gym.

Men’s Basketball: UWSP will wear gold or white uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. Visiting team bench is located left of scorer’s table facing the floor. Video taping is available in the balcony. If a copy of the game tape is needed, one can be provided by request. Officials are contracted by WIAC. UWSP Basketball uses Wilson Solution as its game ball.

Cross Country: Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker rooms 25 and 32 at the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems Champions Hall. if needed. Locks and towels are not furnished.

Football: UWSP will wear gold or purple uniforms. Lockers/showers and halftime team meeting are available in the Willett Ice Arena located just north of the football field. Locks and towels are not furnished. The visiting team sideline is across from the press box. Kotal Practice Fields are available for practice upon request through Greg Breitbach or Brad Duckworth. A coaching box is available for two coaches. Video taping is available on top of the press box. Goerke field is artificial turf and from an end zone scissor lift. Officials contracted by the WIAC. UWSP football uses Wilson as its game ball.

Women’s Golf: Matches played at Stevens Point Country Club.

Men’s Ice Hockey: UWSP will wear gold uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room next to the Pro Shop. Locks and towels are not furnished. The visiting team bench is left of scorer’s bench facing the ice. A press box is available for video taping only. Only two undressed players will be admitted into the press box. Radio space is available upon request. Officials are contracted by WIAC and will consist of two referees and two linesman. Practice pucks will be provided to visiting team. Water will be provided in locker room. A certified athletic trainer will be available upon request.

Women’s Ice Hockey: UWSP will wear white or gold uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in Ice Hawks Arena in locker rooms numbers 1,3,2,4. The visiting team bench is right of the scorer’s bench facing the ice. Locks and towels are not furnished. A press box is available for video taping only. Officials contracted by WIAC and will consist of two referee and one linesmen. Practice pucks will be provided to visiting team.

Women’s Soccer: UWSP will wear white/black/white uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. The visiting team bench is left of the press box facing the field. UWSP Soccer uses Wilson NCAA Fyid2 as its game ball. Officials contracted by WIAC. Videotaping of game is available from bleachers.

Softball: Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems Champions Hall. Locks and towels are not furnished. The visiting dugout is located on the first base side. Officials are contracted by WIAC.

UWSP Softball uses Wilson A9010-SST as its game ball. The opposing team may take batting practice behind the field on the intramural field at any time 2 hours prior to the game up until 24 minutes before game time. No softballs or whiffle balls are be hit into the fence.

Swimming & Diving: UWSP has an 8-lane pool 25 yards long. Lockers/showers are available at the pool.Locks and towels are not furnished. UWSP uses the Colorado Timing System and Meet Management Hy-Tek Software. Results will be available in hard copy as well as on our website immediately following the meet. Certified officials selected by UWSP.

Women’s Tennis: Matches are played at the University Courts located just north of Berg Gym. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. UWSP Tennis uses Wilson Tennis balls at its game ball. In case of rain, matches will be moved to Multi-Activity Center (indoor track) in the MCCH.

Indoor Track & Field: Competition will be held in the Multi-Activity Center. No food allowed inside. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, the general locker rooms, rooms 26 and 32, at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. Plase see the track and field webpage for all meet information.

Women’s Volleyball: UWSP will wear black, white, gold or purple uniforms. Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the MCCH. Locks and towels are not furnished. Practice balls will be provided to the visiting team. UWSP Volleyball uses Baden Perfection VX5E/VX5EC as its game ball. Officials are contracted by WIAC.

Wrestling: The Pointer Open will be held in Quandt Fieldhouse. All other meets will be held in Berg Gym of the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems Champions Hall. and weigh-ins will take place in the wrestling room (room 108 of the MCCH). Lockers/showers are available in the visiting team locker room, room 25 at the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems Champions Hall. Locks and towels are not furnished. Weigh-ins will be conducted on an electronic digital scale. Certified officials are selected by UWSP.

CAMPUS PARKING

Parking on the UW-Stevens Point campus is restricted to permit holders from 2 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Friday, except in metered areas. For that reason, it is recommended that visitors/guests use metered areas. You do not need to plug meters after 7 p.m. on weekdays or anytime on the weekends. Questions?
